Daniel was out guide for the afternoon trip into Valpolicella to the Vogadori winery which is operated by 3 brothers. The van was comfortable and Daniel did a great job pointing out key sights and sharing historical information about Verona and the region as we made the short trip to the vinyard. We stopped to take in a view of the Valpolicella valleys.

The winery itself is small and easy to tour. Between Daniel and one of the brothers who owns the winery (Emanuele), we got a comprehensive explanation of the unique process used to make Amarone, and then we quickly got on to the important part...tasting.

Emanuele poured us several different tyoes of wine from a Riposa to Amarone, to a special Amarone. He also shared a dessert wine and some grappa. The Amarone was amazing, so much so that we shipped some home. There was no pressure to buy the wine, but it will be hard to resist.

Great way to spend an afternoon in Veneto.

We had the Valpolicella Amarone tour this week with Sabrina. It was awesome. Stopped at a Romanesque church in the small town of San Floriano for some pictures and history, had a nice tour of the city of Verona with lots of historical references, then the town of Negrar to the winery of Fratelli Vogodori. Wine was excellent, the 2004 Amarone Fortega and the Recioto were quite fantastic.

Mr. Vogodori was excellent and has a passion that easily comes from his family heritage. Well done Sabrina and Veronaround Tours. We wish we had another day to take the cheese tour! Maybe next time.

I was in Verona with a couple of friends for a few days. I already went on one of the wine tours a couple of years before so we decided to try something different. We picked the Tortellini tour and were so happy with it!

Daniele met us with a smile at the minibus. It was only the 3 of us that day because other tourists pulled out last minute, so it was basically like a private tour. We left the city centre and headed to the country while he was giving information on the history of the area. Stopped for a few minutes in a town called Valeggio where we quickly saw the outside of the local castle and I bought some fancy-looking tortellini in one of the local shops. We then headed to Borghetto which is a really quaint little village by the water. The place is small but we found it very pictoresque and relaxed. A real Italian gem. I doubt many of the tourists visiting Verona even know about places like these!

For lunch we headed to a restaurant in the area where the owner showed us how himself and his family make tortellini. The demonstration was interesting but the best part was eating the stuff ;) The four of us had a light lunch together and all the staff in the restaurant seemed incredibly friendly. Food was of course amazing. The place is called Busocaldo (as Daniele what it means eh eh), I think they have a reputation for homemade pasta in the area. They also have a friendly dog jumping around the garden.

In conclusion, another positive review for Veronaround. Daniele is a very professional, knowledgeble, yet warm person. The tours seem to stand out from the usual mass tourism trips that plague big Italian tourist centers. We WILL go again.

Had a fantastic time in Verona thanks to Veronaround Tours. Meeting point is easy to find. Guid was always on time. The venues had excellent products and the guide had great local knowledge. He speaks at least three languages. Loved the fact that we never felt rushed. Small groups make for a friendly atmosphere. If you are in Verona and have time do one of theses tours. Great value for money.

Friendly, informative and good value, beatiful scenery and the Vogadori wine is amazing. Daniel from the tour company and one of the brothers from the vineyard were great hosts on the Valpolicella wine tour. I would highly recommend a tour with this company.
