“Wonderful bed and breakfast in city center!”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

We enjoyed our stay here for a few days in the city center. Wonderful accomodations and breakfast. Ludovica is a very generous hostess with suggesting places to visit around town. We would stay here again. Room with balcony and view of arena and air conditioning worked superbly in July... a must in the hot summer season

Room Tip: I am sure all the rooms are great but the room with the balcony and view of arena was really large...

A Palazzo next to the Arena, a great place for a visit of Verona. The owner, Ludovica, was a great help, providing with information about the cities, places to see, expositions... The room was very big and comfortable, and the breakfast was also great. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Verona!

My husband and I stayed here for his birthday last weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed Verona. It's a lovely city to walk with gorgeous sites and fabulous restaurants.
Lodovica is the hostess of Palazzo Gelmi - such a lovely woman who speaks great English and gave us an information book on Verona to travel with for the weekend.
The rooms have a beautiful, old-world charm about them - exactly what I was looking for in Verona. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was very spacious.
Our only complaint is that the shutters don't close to help block out sound and there is quite a bit of noise at night. You can hear motorcycles, music, and people talking outside.
We do have a "white noise" App on our iPad and that helped drown out the sound.

Another wonderful stay at the Palazzo Gelmi. We returned with our children this time and stayed in another beautiful and clean room. Being just a few steps from the Arena and Piazza Bra made everything so easy and inspite of the rain we had another amazing weekend in Verona. The children loved it too (especially the hot chocolate) and of course Ludovica gave our stay the personal and homely touch which made us feel so welcome in this beautiful city. Thank you again Ludovica.

Lodovica has restored these beautiful rooms in what was her family apartment. The Aqua Room is very spacious and has two sets of French windows, one with a tiny balcony, looking straight down the street to the Arena. It is literally two minutes to walk there! The room is interesting: Lodovica has taken care with her restoration to preserve some of the original frescoes she discovered under the old paint and paper. The bathroom is very stylish. The building itself is interesting, with a sweeping staircase - and breakfast is served in an unusual room with the fanlight of the old original front door as the window. Lodovica is quietly charming, and so helpful with any questions you may have, including places to eat. We spent three nights there, and thought Verona was a lovely city to visit - don't miss the beautiful Renaissance garden.

As i visited Verona this year, i stayed at the same B&B like last year. All the hospitality, and friendly host Lodovica, the perfect breakfast everything stayed as perfect as it was. BUT: it got better - there ist now free internet available. Thank you Lodovica for this further increase in quality. I will come back for sure!!!

We had a wonderful stay in Verona for three nights in May 2012, a beautiful city. This B&B was excellent. The beautiful old traditional room was quite romantic and the clean, modern bathroom was an unexpected addition. The breakfast was very good. Ludovica was the perfect host, with maps and lots of ideas about places to explore in the old city. We enjoyed the gardens, the restaurants, and the close proximity of the old arena and the main shopping streets. A short taxi ride from the railway station made life easy - even when you travel with small bags!
