After reading the reviews, we knew we had to see this place for ourselves. It did not disappoint. Not only was the food and wine delicious, but the service was friendly and the trattoria itself was beautiful (if you can, sit in the cave!), making it an all-around enjoyable Italian experience!
The waiters were eager to explain the Italian-only menu, and make recommendations. Both pasta dishes we had were delicious (bison and spicy sausage), and the wine of course, was equally good. Note: if you want room for the 'second course', I recommend that you skip either the anti-pasti or the first course! We didn't make it past the first!
Afterwards we chatted with the chef who was super friendly. He gave us some recommendations for wineries to visit and even offered us a free shot of a delicious licorice digestif. I would definitely come here again (I might go again tomorrow night!) and recommend this place to anyone visiting Verona and the surrounding area.
