Modern hotel in quiet side street, literally just a few metres from the main tourist part of old Verona - so can't be faulted on that count. Has air conditioning and double glazing and my room (double for single occupancy) was 'compact' but okay for one person. I didn't have any noise problems.

Apart from the location, other benefits are free wi-fi (good signal), modern bathrooms, friendly staff who speak good English and a spacious lounge if you just want to chill out. Also has a bar - but, with so many great places to eat and drink in Verona, who drinks in the hotel?

Have yet to find a hotel in Italy that does good breakfasts and this was about average. No evening meal (not that that worried me). Certainly would stay there again if I'm ever back for work or a weekend break.

Hotel San Luca was a fabulous place to say.

The room was adequate, staff friendly and it provided a fantastic base for exploring Verona.

It is centrally located and easy to find. Great walking distance from the train station.

As a single traveler I found the hotel just perfect, in a quiet safe side street with numerous restaurants very close by.

The room was clean, the shower fantastic.

The only limitation was the breakfast - it was adequate, but I have had better.

at the end you did not get what you expect. It is well located, two minutes from the Arena. Room was clean, renewed..nothing to complaint. It was noisy because music (very high volume) from a bar close to the hotel (they stop at midnight) but that's not an hotel responsibility. Breakfast ..below the average for a 4 stars hotel.
It is the atmosphere that was not friendly..at the reception you get a cold feeling...you did not feel welcommed and that's something...bad for an hotel.
I was with my wife for a short holiday and she get the same feeling. The personell I met were professional.

Nice hotel in very quiet by-road, 3 min. walk to Piazza Bra. Extremely nice and helpful staff. Good beds with good mattresses. Small and pricy garage.

We arrived in Verona by train and took the bus to Piazza Bra (Bus No 11 / 12 or 14) the hotel is situated across the road from the bus stop through an arch left of McDondalds. It is just outside the old city gate a few metres from Piazza Bra and the amphitheatre - great location. Verona is a compact city and the sights are mostly within easy walking distance. The hotel is a nice place with very helpful and friendly staff, there is a small bar and lounge and a lift. The rooms are clean with a mini bar and good bathroom facilities including hairdryer. Breakfast is standard continental, bread, cheeses, ham, cerials, eggs etc. The coffee was not great, the tea selection was varied but English Breakfast tea was hard to track down. The rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard. The location of the hotel is great just a short walk into Piazza Bra with its street cafes and imposing amphitheatre. Continue through the Piazza down the main shopping street onto other sights and Piazzas - a great city to walk around. The hotel does not have a restaurant but there are so many in the Piazza to choose from, we found a nice little restaurant just off the square which served good food and had a nice atmosphere. I would recommend this hotel for its location and super helpful staff.

This hotel excels in many ways: the location is perfect (a two minute walk to the arena, a fifteen minute walk from the station), the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are very clean and spacious. We had everything we needed and when we made special requests, such as extra pillows, the staff were very forthcoming.

There is very little that could be improved, but the only minor factors stopping me from giving it the full 5/5 is the following: the do not disturb sign was ignored and the staff cleaned our room anyway (this was not a significant incident for us as we had already left the hotel, but if we had still been asleep this may have created more of a disturbance); there was some kind of generator in the courtyard our room faced on to that meant we could not have the window open at night (we did not consider this enough of an annoyance to complain to the hotel staff, and I have no doubt they would have dealt with the issue quickly and without fuss if we had).

Overall, highly recommended.
