Owner description: Situated behind the busy Piazza Erbe, this central square is dominated by a Dante statue made in 1865 plus two buildings built by Palladio, the Palazzo della Raggione and the Loggia del Capitanato.

Quieter and smaller than Piazza delle Erbe, this piazza is just as atmospheric , with a refined and visually attractive ensemble of buildings and monuments which are of great historical and architectural importance.

The Palazzo della Ragione ( now City Hall) , the Loggia del Consiglio, the Palace of the Government, the House of Piety, the Arch , Dante Monument , alongside Verona's oldest cafe -- Caffe Dante. It reminded me of a theatre set, waiting for a performance to begin.

Caffe Dante has tables outside and it would be great to sit here for a couple of hours with a drink and a book, simply taking it all in. Unfortunately we could not do that for lack of time -- next time for sure! There is also another restaurant at the piazza where Maria Callas was a regular , with a huge picture of her -- you can't miss it.

This is the Piazza just behind the Erbe and although as central it is just a little quieter. This is where Restaurante Dante is which is very good. Great for eating outside day or night.

Full of very good and classic tratorias and above average restaurants. In summer you sit in any of the tables set unn yhis small but cosy Piazza that sets the ambience to the classic Italian Provence that we love so much

A nice and quiet square next to the Tower and Plaza Erbe. On the other side of the square is the house of the old ruling Family of Verona, and next to it their Church (and bodies...)

This is a lovely, quiet square tucked at the side of Piazza Erbe. We missed it the first time and had to go looking for it. It was well worth the effort. Fabulous buildings and some nice cafes.
