There are many places to take pictures of this beautiful bridge, it would be a shame to miss it! Who cares if it isn't completely original it's still beautiful. We took lots of pictures as it's hard not to when standing along the Adige river viewing this wonderful structure.

“It's free! no entry charge! no tickets! FREE!,, and it's really great....”
Reviewed July 17, 2014

Well this is one place in Verona where Dad does not have to dig deep into the wallet in order to give the family a day out. Yes, you could easily spend a pleasant day wandering around/on/in and nearby this really interesting edifice. Snap a few images of the Triumphal Arch on the city side and then enter through the Museum gate, have a look around here before turning left and go across the gangway and the secondary moat area before passing by some moaning beggars[ who love the shade here] and walk on up to the bridge itself. Take your time here [ it is better early in the morning ] and your camera finger will really get a workout , cause there are snap opportunities everywhere you look. Go right across the river then turn left or right and walk along the water's edge to the next bridge and return this way. By this time you will have built up a thirst, which can be attended to at any of the "watering holes" along the way. A bonus ;Prices here are a lot lower than their compatriots back in the tourist area.

“A tribute to the great family of Verona”
Reviewed July 2, 2014

The square, castle and tombs are all worth a visit. The city of Verona is an amazing day trip and so much more than just Juliet's balcony!

“Fun but not a particular must-see”
Reviewed June 30, 2014 via mobile

There is a fun walk-in spot where you can climb some stairs (not recommended for people who are afraid of heights) and have an awesome view.
Not necessary to climb as you can just walk through and they have a few big 'windows' built in for the people who dont wanna climb.

“Wonderful view of Verona and its rivers through the old stone walls of the bridge”
Reviewed June 15, 2014

Past Castelvecchio, is the bridge over the river, Ponte Scaligero. Its made of the same stones as the original castle and is a beautiful arching bridge where you can climb up the side of the kerbs and walking along the stone walls and peeking through the holes to see the river. Once you reach the middle of the bridge you can look through a large port hole and take in the fantastic view of Verona and the buildings along the rivers for a nice photo. It is truly a romantic moment to be with your loved ones.
