What a great way to start our Italy honeymoon! We only stayed in Relais 900 for one night, but wished we could've stayed longer. This lovely B&B is located in an old refurbished villa just outside the old-city walls of Verona, about a leisurely 15-minutes walk to Piazza Bra. The walk is along the river and makes for some nice photo-ops.
Our room was on the ground floor and featured a large four-poster bed, a fireplace, a pinked-tiled bathroom and lots of room (a rarity in Italy!).
The breakfast was served in a gorgeous room with chandelier and ornate wallpaper, we felt transported back to the beginning of the century, except for the high-tech Nespresso coffee machine that was made available to the guests.
A big plus for us were the free wifi and free parking. Do check out their roof top for some gorgeous views of the city. Warning: there are a few steps from the gate to the house, so keep this in mind when booking. It didn't bother us, but might others.
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful too! Overall a great place to stay when in Verona!
We would definitely recommend and come back to Relais 900.

If this house was being used as a B and B in the UK the broadsheet newspapers would be all over it giving rave reviews. It is a beautiful house, our bedroom "The Library" was absolutely lovely and the receptionist Barbara, could not have been more helpful. I would thoroughly recommend this property for a city break in Verona.

Room Tip: You want the rooms in the main house

A Nice place, located in an old house, with large bedrooms, beautiful windows, mezzanines, pleasant bathroom, very clean. Correct fares. Good breakfasts. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing.

You feel welcomed. Very friendly staff. Beautiful gardens. Less than 10 minutes walk to Verona city centre.

It's a Shame there's no restaurant at the hotel.

We stayed overnight in the dependance after the Traviata at the Arena. Walking (with no high heels!!) distance to the center of the city and good compromise between price and service. Plus and minus:
+parking facility
+nice area in the city but outside the crowd
+gentle service
+stylish room
+nice small swimming pool
- room 1 in the dependance can be noisy
- essential breakfast

This small hotel was a private house until a few years ago and is run by the family who lived there. It is really a bed&breakfast and is well run by the family and staff. The ground floor has the feel of the old villa; upstairs is chic and modern, there is a roof terrace with an amazing view of the old city. It is only a 15min walk to the city so having secure free parking was a plus. The gardens are a lovely place to relax after a day's sightseeing. It was initially quite difficult to find but fortunately we had brought our satnav with us. We would definitely recommend it for a city break to Verona.
