Wonderful pizza, very nice atmosphere, but the lightest, tastiest tiramisu we have ever had!

“Pizza perfection”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 28, 2011

If you're looking for a tasty, authentic and affordable meal in Verona, this is your bet. There was a pizza for everyone - from the Italian classics to something a little bit fancier. Everyone went away very satisfied, all for a reasonably low price. The wait was long to get a seat (for a family of 4 we waited around half an hour), and once you're in, there's not much messing about (they weren't too pleased with us having to take an extra 5 minutes to try and translate the menu!). But overall a quick and delicious feed!

“Super Excellent Pizza”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 13, 2011

Considering the dollar is dreadful, we ate pizza almost everyday for 10 days. Between Verona, Venice and Modena. This was the best absolutely.

The place was recommended by the owner of our apartment or I wouldn't have made the effort to go. So glad we did. Conveniently located by the Natural History Museum, but not in the middle of tourist central.

“Best Pizza in the City, Stylish Decor”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 12, 2011

Da Salvatore resolves the eternal debate over which is the best pizzeria in the city. The pies are Neapolitan style (thick, chewy dough) and they are slightly smaller than the average pizza. That's not a bad thing though - the ingredients are fresh and clearly top quality and you walk away feeling great and perfectly satisfied.

What you find here is a notch above every other pizzeria in Verona (Du De Cope is good competition though) for the freshness of the ingredients, skill of the pizza makers, and ambience of the place.

You can watch the pizzaiuoli work while you wait for your pizza, always a great way to pass the time. The decor is another reason to eat here - very modern, with blown up stills from Italian films covering the walls. Each table is a work of art in itself, but you'll have to visit to see why. Great bathrooms, too :)

The place is pretty small and does not accept reservations, so expect to wait a few minutes for a table. Luckily there is a charming bar next door where you can have a spritz while you wait.

Don't miss Da Salvatore.
