“Only one night”
Reviewed January 17, 2014

We booked a superior double room and stayed in the annex across the street from the main hotel. A lovely room, very modern with a comfy bed. Parking was in a secured underground lot next door. Breakfast was in the main hotel across the street and was a typical European breakfast. The hotel is very close to the center on a quiet street. Clean, plenty of hot water and a nice shower made for a perfect one night stay.

Nice small hotel. good for a short stay in Verona. I had a room on the first floor and it was very warm, almost hot, so the windows had to be opened, but then it was quite noisy. However the room itself was very tidey and cosy. The hotel also has a spa but i didn't visit it.

We stayed as a couple for two nights just after Christmas. The hotel was very nicely presented - our room was beautifully decorated and very clean. Tried the spa - was pleasant enough but awkward (if you're a reserved type!) as it's way too small ... expect to feel the hairy legs of another guest brushing against you in the jacuzzi (it's more like a bath!)

Stayed here one night at the end of November, clean spacious economy room. Comfortable bed, clean bathroom, hot shower with good water pressure. Breakfast room is small but good selection of food and drinks. Very close to the centre and there is a nice place to eat just a few doors down. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I booked our stay at the Hotel Marco Polo in Verona for my 50th birthday on our trip to Italy. We chose the "Wellness Package" because of the close location to the City Center of Verona, the reviews of the hotel and the Turkish Baths that were included in the package. We were not disappointed! The hotel staff were very nice, helpful and friendly! Our room was newly remodeled, spacious, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a treat with a large shower and the bed was very comfy. There was a TV in the room but we didn't even turn it on while we were there. The Turkish baths were so amazing and relaxing and we so were the massage treatments we both had in the spa on my birthday. What a fantastic way to spend a special day. The hotel is located on a quiet street just a couple of blocks from the city center but not a lot a of side street traffic. The breakfast was the best we had during our entire Italy adventure with eggs, bacon, pastries, fresh fruits, coffee and hot tea. If you stay at Hotel Marco Polo make sure you have a meal at the wonderful little restaurant right there next to and across the street called Ristorante Pizzeria Marechiaro! They have amazing fresh food, are friendly and good prices! We would highly recommend staying at the Hotel Marco Polo!

Room Tip: Our room was on the top floor of the building across the street and had very small windows so I woul...

We made the reservation one month before arrival and even that, when we arrived the receptionist allocate us another room because they did not read that we requested a twin bedroom.

That was acceptable but I got quite disappointed when she said that breakfast was in the main building, hence, if it is winter you must "take you coat" to go to have breakfast and there is not night reception in that building.

Before making the reservation I called to make sure that breakfast took place in the same hotel, as many establishments in Verona serve breakfast outside the hotel –many times in a bar.

The room was very clean, excellent bathroom, light and decoration as well as linen.

Breakfast, even the room was small; it was very varied serving both continental as well as a full English breakfast with good quality products.

The location is excellent, just three minutes’ walk from the Arena and not far from the train station (7 Euros aprox.).

I will recommend it and will come back; despite one receptionist poor customer service skills and attitude.

Stayed one night in October. We got a decent promotional rate booking on the hotel website that included free wifi and breakfast. The location was great. The staff could not be more helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast very good. We had no problem finding a place to sit at breakfast. I don't have any other hotel stays in Verona to compare it with, but I'd definitely stay here if I return to Verona.
