We used Trip Advisor to find a hotel near to the centre i.e walking distance, and also for easy access to the Arena for the opera. This hotel was perfect on both counts. It is approx 200 yds back from the main road, which obviously makes it quieter and the hotel does have a certain charm, being a converted convent. Our room was a reasonable size, and the bathroom was fine,if a little narrow. Our one criticism was that there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, which bearing in mind that the Hotel has neither Bar nor Restaurant we felt was a mistake.
Breakfast was served in a downstairs room, and was of a fair standard.
The reception staff were excellent and knowledgeable.More
