This Osteria has very welcoming staff, a lovely warm atmosphere and is splattered with a few antiques and interesting 'collectables'. We all had a delicious fishy supper and too much local white wine and a super bottle of desert wine to finish. All very reasonably priced and we were looked after a treat.

This is just what I hoped for in an Italian restaurant ! Charming decor, fabulous food and wine, and lovely service, efficient but not intrusive. The owner is warm and gracious . The prices are reasonable.

We ate here two times in our three-day Verona trip. Would have gone a third time if we could have!

Found this restaurant on Trip Advisor and used Trip Advisor to 'Point me there'. Would have had real trouble finding it otherwise because it is in a back street.

It was worth it though because we found a small, friendly restaurant with plenty of atmosphere and tasty food.

Particularly enjoyed the ravioli.

This restaurant takes a bit of finding. I think one good way is to walk along the riverbank and about 100 meters south of the Ponte Garibaldi there's a pharmacy with an illuminated sign on a corner. Turn down there and after about 50 metres cross another street and almost immediately after take a right fork down a narrow street and it's on your left.

I'd recommend booking - we didn't and were lucky to get the only remaining table. As you'll gather from the other reviews it's well worth the effort.

Being a bit off the beaten track the atmosphere seems very relaxed, warm and welcoming, with plenty of helpful advice (in English if required).

The food really is first-rate and people we spoke at a neighbouring table were just as enthusiastic as us.

Good value house wine and a very fair price for a great meal. Highly recommended.

This is a small 20 or so seat restaurant. We almost lost our seat a couple of years ago to some other Americans who were trying to get to our reservation ahead of us as we were lost and enlisted their help. They had a working cell phone at the time and knew there was a table that had not shown up yet. We heard them talking and asked them if they could help us find it. They hurriedly said no and walked quickly away. We meandered through the streets and finally found the restaurant and found them at the doorway. The owner did not seat them and honored our reservation although we were quite late. This time we were staying only a half a block away so no getting lost and the meal was again memorable. Francesco explained he prides himself on making things simple but delicious. It was wonderful!
