Our group of 15 enjoyed a wonderful, leisurely al fresco lunch at Cangrande, in a peaceful pedestrian lane surrounded by centuries-old buildings, just steps from the Roman Arena. We were served a marvelous assortment of antipasti and pastas by efficient waiters and the gracious owner himself. The setting and the food together made this one of the most memorable meals I had in northern Italy. If I have occasion to return to Verona, I'll definitely pay a return visit to Cangrande.
