We arrived a bit later than expected in Verona, but our host Jenny (the owner Mara wasn’t in the country at the moment) welcomed us very well in the apartment (15min. walk from the main railway station).
Everything was well explained. One con is that the airconditioning was not working at the moment because it was too early in the season. Strange for us, as it was almost 23-24° in the room in the evening and hard to sleep with. When we travel, we always look for A/C accomodations, because this is really important for us. We slept with open windows to get some cool air from the river, but the traffic at night woke us up multiple times. Luckily it was still no mosquito season either. Maybe something the owner can fix for next years to come.
The apartment is really well situated. Looking out over the river, you can have breakfast at the open windows with a peaceful view and watching the joggers and dog-owners passing by on the river quay.
Stylish decorated and beautifully designed glass bathroom-box in the apartment space. Getting hot water in the shower can take a while though. It took at least a couple of minutes before the water started heating up. We don’t like to consume more water than we need, but this is not really how it should be.
With a 5min. walk on the quay wall, you’re already standing next to the big Castelvecchio and the city center. There is also a medium-sized supermarket at 5min. walk.
In the end, we really enjoyed staying here (2 nights) and would do again definitely if we visit Verona again. It’s a beautifully decorated apartment, with nice design furniture, warm materials and perfect location just outside the city center buzz.
