This is a wonderful place to stay, our room was very comfortable and clean and the location for all the central sights and especially the opera is amazing, less than 5 minutes to the arena. We had a great stay thanks Monica & Roberto

We traveled to Verona this summer to catch an opera at the Arena, and couldn't have been more pleased with this place. We had a fabulous apartment two blocks away from the Arena, right in the heart of Verona. Couldn't have asked for anything more. It was perfect.

We stayed at this B&B during the 2012 earthquake! It is convenient to the old city, within walking distance of all the tourist sites. Because of this, it can be noisy if something is happening in the Arena or if it's a weekend and the Piazza Bra places are going full tilt. But the room was spacious and comfortable, and they offer wi-fi connections for those who need it.

Room Tip: Steep stairs to reception on first floor, but the staff is helpful. The room on the Alberto Mario s...

We (three of us) stayed three nights recently in this B&B. The location can not be beat: it is right downtown. The rooms (we had two) were huge and well-furnished and had tons of character (exposed beams, brick fireplace, tile floors). The bathroom was also huge, but had one of those almost-can't-turn-around showers, popular in Italian hotels. Breakfast was better than adequate, but consisted of mostly packaged items, although there was fresh fruit, not-cold enough yogurt, and ham and cheese slices. The croissants were good; baked goods were dry (as most are in Italy). While we were there, we experienced an earthquake, and the building shook for about 10 seconds! We found out later that it was a 6.1 earthquake about 50 miles from us!

Drawbacks -- it is VERY noisy at night (masses of people walking and talking in the street behind the B&B), the stairs are hard to ascend with heavy suitcases, and the innkeepers were not there much to converse with.

I went through many many places looking for the perfect place to stay in Verona and finally decided on this B&B rather than a hotel. I could not be more happy with my choice! The room is HUGE with amazing decor and so clean! The location could not be more perfect as it's in the heart of the Old City surrounded by shops and cafes and the best stores in the world!

They offer a small buffet type breakfast which is adequate and the owner Monica is great. She gave us some suggestions for restaurants that aren't in the over-priced piazzas and tourist traps and they were perfect.

I would not come to Verona again if I couldn't stay here. I would arrange my trip around their availability. Bravo!

Room Tip: all the rooms are great

Behind an unassuming door in the centre of Verona, the Anfiteatro is a welcoming B&B with beautifully decorated 'rooms' (more like suites!). Very stylishly decorated. Buffet breakfast is served in the public area and then taken into your room which is nice. Monica was a very friendly host with lots of information to help us with our stay

What a terrific stay! I was traveling with my son and spent a night here. I do B&Bs a lot in Europe and this was a pleasant surprise. Parking might have been an issue - i understand the public garage is a walk - but I got a street spot with the owner's pass right at the front door. The location could not have been better; our room overlooked the main shopping street and we were one block from the amphitheater. The room itself was very spacious, bathroom too. Breakfast was excellent and the owners pleasant and accommodating. To top it off, Verona is a fun city. You cannot go wrong here.
