We had 3 great meals in Venice and this was without doubt one of them. I'm sure you can visit Venice and not have a great meal, but if you don't, it's because you haven't looked. They are definitely there. My wife appreciated the extremely personal and convivial service and warmth from the owners, a lovely couple. The food was outstanding -- we would have returned the next night were it not that we had reservations at another great place. Highly recommended!

great food - excellent hosting, great menu.

Booking essential I think. We were turned away one evening as it was fully booked and made a reservation for the following night. Numerous people turned up only to be disappointed while we were eating....

We made sure we had reservations for this restaurant after hearing from many sources of its good reputation. It's good to do so as it can get very busy. The owner was very friendly and we scored a nice outside table.

We started by sharing an appetizer of gnocchi and rabbit and Sea Bass with polenta. The gnocchi could best be described as "angel pillows", they were so light and the polenta was the best we ever had. The fried mixed fish was wonderfully crispy. Desert included a panna cotta with fruits that was the best panna cotta I have ever had. The chocolate cake was superb. Over all, it was a very memorable meal.

Listen to the owner -- she will not send you wrong.

Usually we don't use reviews to pick a place to eat, but we made an excecption this time, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Family-run restaurant - husband cooks, and wife serves. Portions were not large, but each one we had was just delightful. Don't skip the desert - worth paying the calory-price! It is quite a small place, and was full, so I am sure that you need to book in advance. Service was wonderful. Depends on your budget whether this is cheap or or not - EU100 for two people, drinking house wine. Not difficult to find if you follow the map on their website. Enjoy!!

After reading that this was a good restaurant in the area, we hoped to visit it one night. We have six children, but our baby does not stay with the babysitter, so we had him in a stroller. He was fast asleep for the night. We approached the restaurant midway through the night, but were turned away. The hostess took one look at our baby asleep in the stroller and told us the restaurant was full with reservations. The evening was almost over and half of the tables were empty! I was very insulted and offended by the treatment we received. Our sleeping baby would have disturbed no one. I guess we'll never know. Skip it if you want to be treated well.
