Description: You may fall upon Trattoria Da Fiore restaurant in Venice with cries of delight not only is it a charming, laid-back trattoria run by a native Venetian family, it is also incredibly affordable for this high-ticket city. Near Piazza San Marco, too, so its perfect for every kind of tourist or business noshing. A small, historic, charming spot with a separate space for those who wish to just nibble cichetti and drink a glass of wine, Trattoria Da Fiore has the beamed ceilings, warm plastered walls and dark wood seating and white table linens all typical of Venetian eateries. The menu is Italian and Sergio and his two children pay particular attention to the choice of wines. The house specialty is pennette da Fiore for two with olive oil, garlic and seven seasonal vegetables, though some swear by the zuppa di pesce alla chef brimming with just about everything that swims, perhaps followed by sgroppino al limone to finish. Youll find Trattoria Da Fiore full of both tourists and locals, and something of a triumph.

Venetian special seppie (cuttlefish) cooked in black ink - visually stunning / so tender. Also seafood risotto for two was fabulous. Even the humble spaghetti e Pomodoro was beautifully cooked.

We were recommended this place by the hotel we were staying in. We wanted simple pasta. What we got was so much more BUT still exactly what we wanted. We both had salad starters - me a caprese which was delicious - top notch sweet baby tomatoes and deliciously creamy buffalo mozzarella and my boyfriend a side salad that was huge! Second courses were spagetti with seafood and lasanga - both amazing then we shared an enormous single portion of tiramusu. Honestly cannot beat this, the service was seamless and the wine was beyond! dont miss out go! this is a casual restaurant but clean and beautifully decorated - after a trip on the Orient Express this was what the doctor called for.

We ate here before a concert at San Vidal -- excellent fresh fish, salads, pasta, and vegetables. Good service, fair prices -- would definitely recommend. Wine list is not extensive but adequate.

This restaurant was recomended by our hotel and I wasn't to quick to eat there it was only a few steps away and the reviews were ok. What a mistake it would have been not to try this place in fact we ate there twice. We were in venice for three nights and found this to be the most outstanding place we visited. It consisted of mostly locals and that sort of tells you that it should be good. If you like seafood and carefully prepared dishes than you must eat here I guarantee you will fall in love with this place like my wife and myself.
This restaurant is highly recomended give it a try but not too many I would not want it to get spoiled by too many guests.

Molto bene!

Nice, small place with very happening little bar adjacent. Lots of locals which clearly says something.....seafood seems to be specialty and the salads and appetizers were especially good.. Also tried the Venetian calves liver w polenta and enjoyed it. Service was also some of the best in Venice - good English and very good overall. Recommend.
