“Valentines perfection”
Reviewed February 19, 2014

we had 3 nights over the valentines weekend at this lovely hotel. room 2 was clean tidy and overlooked the small street outside
From our arrival the staff where friendly and extremely helpful
Very easy to find from the Ca'D'Oro water bus stop
On valentines night our bed was turned down and chocolates placed on our bed, a very nice surprise following our evening out
Breakfast was plentiful and varied and the staff very attentive at all times
The afternoon cakes and drinks where a very pleasant surprise and much needed after a hard days exploring
Our departure to the airport was even easier, a 2 minute walk to Fondamente Nove- orto and straight on the water bus to the airport

Room Tip: catch the water buses only great value if you get a pass to cover your stay which you purchase from...

We stayed for four nights in Executive room 102 over Valentines Day. Room was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Looked exactly like the hotel website pictures. Friendly staff. Loved every minute.

We have just got back from at 4 night stay at this amazing hotel. It's in a quiet and convenient location and is only a five minute walk from the water taxi drop of point and only costs 57 euros return, so don't pre book as it's much cheaper from airport ticket desk.
When we arrived at the Una we were greeted with a friendly member off staff, who took us to our room and wow what a room, it was massive! we were told that we had been upgraded from a superior to an executive with no added cost. The room 202 had views of the canal which were an added bonus. The bed in the room was huge, and we certainly got a great nights sleep, however the room did have a tilt which was proved to be good fun after a few vinos 8-).
Every day the hotel provided a free buffet consisting of crips, nuts and cakes and sandwiches, drinks were also provided there was wine, tea , coffee and juices, this made eating out less expensive as we only needed a main course. Breakfast at the Una is fabulous too.We had scrambled eggs and salmon every day but there also had cereals, toast, bacon, sausages and much much more. To sum up the hotel there's nothing too much trouble they even provide umbrellas when it rains, all these little touches make it all the more special and Venice itself is just another world and we fell in love with it, so do not hesitate BOOK IT!

Room Tip: Book superior or execrative or just ask for 202

This hotel is absolutely lovely. It is only about a 5-10 minute walk from the Rialto bridge - and a great walk at that. Our bedroom looked out over a small part of the canal which had a few boats passing through each day which created a lovely ambiance. The rooms were grand and comfortable however, you don't really spend a lot of time in them - but they are a great place to come back to. Breakfast in the hotel was average, nothing special, but from a small hotel you probably wouldn't expect a massive buffet anyway. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone, being small, quiet, comfortable and nicely located it was a perfect addition to a great weekend away.

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights in early February, 2014. We both really enjoyed staying at the Una. The front desk staff, as well as all of the other staff people, were great. They all spoke English, French and German. Everyone was very helpful with any questions we had. Our room was spaceous and beautifully decorated. The entire hotel was very clean. A complementary breakfast is served every morning. There was a wide variety to choose from. The hotel is located off of the main streets and is very quiet. It was about a 5 minute walk to the vaporetto. Ten minutes to the Rialto and about 20 minutes to Saint Mark's. (We were here during the wettest winter in Europe in the past several hundred years. The Hotel had complementary umbrellas for guest to use. This was quite nice). We will be staying here when we return to Venice. We loved this hotel.

Room Tip: We had room 102. It's a corner room overlooking the canals. Very nice room.

Excellent service, great breakfast good selection of pastries, bread, cold meats, cheese and fruits. In the afternoons the complementary afternoon tea, was also very convince, you can have a glass of wine before going for dinner. The room was small but nice.

After 3 nights at the charming UNA hotel in Venice I am not ready to venture back to reality just yet! Old world charm with modern convenience at its best. Ok so the hotel doesn't have its own restaurant - but your in Venice for goodness sake!! There are at least 30 restaurants within a 5-10minute walk so you will never run out of options. Breakfast wasn't the best Ive ever had but the coffee was hot and they had lots of options to suit all tastes. A special touch is the free buffet and drinks available every day form 14.30-22.00 (yes thats what I said FREE) Help yourself to wine, tea, coffee, sandwiches and pastries with the hotels compliments! A great little pitstop during a long day of site seeing!
The location is perfect for all the major attractions (approx a 3-4 minute walk to the main shopping street) while still being hidden away on a beautifully quiet little side street overlooking the canal. One tip - dont trust google maps as it takes you completely the wrong way (we got very lost!! But hey we were in Venice so it could have been worse!) Ring or email the hotel and speak to their amazingly helpful staff for precise directions before you arrive to make things easier.

I have already recommended this little gem to anyone who will listen (oh and plump for the executive room! Well worth the extra pennies!)

Room Tip: Ask for a Canal view and go for the executive room! It really it worth it!
