This tiny restaurant is in an interesting area around Toletta in the Dorsoduro area of Venice. Close to some key attractions, e.g. the Academia, it retains the feel of a 'local' area. It's tiny, just 9 inside tables and was very full when we visited (on a Monday evening) and turned away a number of potential clients with no booking.
We ate a starter and pasta dish each which with a bottle of wine and complimentary Prosecco came to just 85 euros. If I'd had room I would have had a main course, but portions are generous. The menu changes daily and they warn you when booking that there is no fish on Mondays. The helpful, English speaking staff are happy to recommend a wine from their extensive list. They turn tables at 9pm but there was no pressure for us to rush.
A real, authentic, neighbourhood find.
