Owner description: We are here — we have made it our mission — to prove to Venice visitors that once you get away from the maddening crowds around Piazza San Marco, and we get you into the real, living, Venetian neighborhoods, thriving with restaurants and caffes without the dreaded “menu turistico”, you will be enchanted by this city and stunned at the beauty and variety of the foods we eat here!

This tour was really wonderful and unlike any other food tour we’ve been on. Adam and Maya are amazing and created a beautiful evening for us. I was surprised at how much food, wine and dessert was included! It was a really excellent value. We had a wonderful time and this was a top highlight of our entire trip. The tour was very well organized and well timed! They clearly love Venice and you will also love Venice by the end! I would recommend planning this tour first night to learn the city and how to order! An amazing experience!

This tour is amazing. It is excellent value for money. We enjoyed every minute - the wine, the food, the interesting people that we met and the fascinating facts we learned about this beautiful city, its food, wine and people. Maya and Adam are very passionate about Venice and had truly found the best cafes, bars and restaurants in town. We can't wait to come back and try the evening tour.

Maya and Adam may be Americans, but they have earned the love and respect of the people of Venice who welcome their tour group with open arms and warmth. They know their stuff, and you will be sorry to leave them when the tour is over. The food is amazing, and the history fascinating. You will be comfortably full, and very happy you met these two!

This tour was extraordinary and unlike any other food tour we’ve been on. Adam and Maya are a tour guide power couple. They put their heart and souls into the planning of their tours and it shows. They truly love Venice and are passionate to share all the best parts and in turn at the end of your tour, you will love Venice too. Their insight was priceless... what to order, what not to order, and Venetian etiquette and culture. I would recommend planning this tour first on your trip. We tried food that we probably wouldn’t have tried on our own and loved it so much we continued to eat these things for our entire vacation. Beyond a doubt a five star experience!

Caffe corretto, award winning cicchetti, the best tramezzini in town, how to spot great gelato, visiting an outdoor market, a fun sit-down lunch, dessert and finally a spritz next to the grand canal. The food was great, Maya and Adam even better. Best of all was learning about the old family run businesses and getting a glimpse of a few of the remaining real neighborhoods of Venice by people who care about the real thing. We did the Venice Bites tour on our first full day in Venice - a great way to get acclimated and learn to wander in the old city.
