Dinner for 2 after à long walk. Lovely decor and a féw positive reviews posted outside caught our attention. Friendly service, well timed and with smiles all around. Gotta say most of the crowd seemed to be tourists like us, but tourists apparently enjoying themselves. 2 glasses of prosseco offered to start with, Nice touch. 2 speziale menu @ 22€ each. Spaghetti as à starter. Pasta obviously not homemade but tasty sauce. Scalopine alla limone as à main, meat ok, vegetables were decent but would say homecooked then frozen and reheated. Bread and butter were excellent by the way. Turamisu was lovely accompanied by those delicious little dry biscuits i cant remember the name of. Limoncello offered as i was asking for the bill, second lovely touch of the evening. Aqua minérale 3.50€ for a litre. All in all 47.50€ in Venise for 2 on à Saturday night with no booking and bread and service included plus prosseco and limoncello, cant complain really...

Starter: small octopus typical of the lagoon with celery. A joke! A small plate covered by green salad, with some celery on top and at the center a spoon of these small octopus. So small portion I could not even taste them. Paid 10 euros it was worthing 5 top.
My friend got dried cured beef with rucola and parmesan: 5 slices of meat. Ridiculous.
First course: risotto with seafood. I counted 3 mussels and 1 piece of calamari. That's it. The rest was a risotto with tomato. Didn't taste anything more than that. 13,20 euros.
This is the typical restaurant popular among American tourists who are attracted by the nice atmosphere and the view on the canal. They think to go there and find great food. Wrong!
You find on the table butter and bread: a real Venetian restaurant would never do that.
At the end of the meal they offer you limoncello, maybe they hope to send you home happy with that...too bad I was as hungry as when I walked in.
Desserts: all frozen. The only homemade are tiramisu and panna cotta.
You pay 3 euros per person for the coperto and there are not even tablecloth.
I am a Tour Manager and I have a long list of excellent restaurant in town. My friend insisted to go there, never again. With the same budget you can for sure eat ways better and go home full. Osteria San Marco, Fiaschetteria toscana just to mention a couple...

The atmosphere was perfect for a couple or a small group wanting a low light old world feel. The food was prepared well. The sea bass was cooked perfectly and had a good taste. The food was not out of this world but above average and the atmosphere pushed it over the edge.

We dined here at the advice of friends and it was good advice! The restaurant owner looked a bit tired and frazzled when we arrived to a completely full restaurant and we explained we had booked...he did find the booking ....gave us a glass of prosecco and he calmed down and we discovered he actually has a great sense of humour.. Great to have in a tourist mecca like Venice..
The choice is a fixed priced menu or just off the main menu.We chose both...fixed and al l carte .. Both were good and food was tasty and served hot..staff do not speak english well but are helpful and prompt...it's a feel good resturant on a canal away from the main tourist scene...well worth the visit ...and the lemoncello delicious..
