We ate dinner on a Thursday evening having reserved a few weeks in advance, though on the night there were a few tables free. The menu was quite imaginative, the wine list extensive and the service competent; I can particularly recommend the risotto with guinea fowl. We would definitely return if in Venice again.

Great atmosphere, delicious food and excellent service. My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful anniversary dinner at this restaurant and it was certainly the most memorable dinner we had during our stay in Venice. The maître d', Walter, is a real character, and superb at his job. He is a consummate professional, whilst at the same time, a very humorous and interesting man. He and his team ensured our evening was nothing less than perfect.

We tipped up at Bistrot de Venise without a booking. the Maitre d' , Walter, was excellent. He had no gluten free bread for my husband and so sorted him some polenta. My bread basket was delicious with several varieties. Our meal was excellent and definately enhanced by Walter. We both had the best meal we'd eaten in three days. I ate a local dish of goose with grapes and pine nuts, with lasagne, my husband ate gluten free spagetti carbonara with scampi, both yummy. Three good courses fo food later we left happy that we'd finally had a good meal in Venice.

This was my husbands 60th birthday and we chose this restaurant as a result of trip advisor. The meal was superb and the waiters attentive. It was however very, very expensive approx 200 euros so not one for a cheap night out! But for a special date a great choice, we had good wines so this bumped up the price.

I reserved a table through the link provided on trip advisor; was a special night for my wife's birthday. Being able to pre-order roses for the table was a nice touch. We arrived and were escorted to a quiet table for two in the back of the restaurant. The table setup, décor, and ambience were terrific. Everything including the presentation was 5-star. We decided on the Venice Dining Menu--it was gourmet all the way. The food was tremendous, timing and presentation was spot on, and the wine list was extensive. The place isn't inexpensive, but I'd say it is worth every penny and we look forward to going again!
