We had previously visited the Terrazza Danieli for brunch on a gloomy wet day so there was no outdoor seating on that occasion. On our latest visit it was a nice summer day and as many people have commented, one thing about the Terrazza Danieli is the excellent panoramic view from this location.
Although this is a brunch buffet, the menu they provide does seem to want to steer you down rigid routes in some areas. For instance there were a few types of pasta dishes but I like to choose my own accompaniments (within reason); I am eating it, not the chef!
I also felt that the breakfast choices were very limited although perhaps they think that with a 12:30 start, people do not want breakfast.
However, if you liked salad and salad and more salad, there was more than enough choice!
Overall, the food quality was very good but the service was poor given there were so many waiters, seemingly with very little to do. They even take a long time to refill your wine which supposedly is included in the price.
I did expect the brunch to be busier, especially as it was such a nice day and Venice was very busy, but given the price of 120 Euros per head (up from 110 Euros a year back) it was perhaps not too surprising and as a result there seemed to be a lot of food left over.
