The best pizza in all Italy. Family style with good service and home style Italian cooking. The best part is that is reasonable in price.

We found Da Sandro's to be significantly changed with our fall-2013 visit. The pizza portion of the business across the street is closed and the seating area has shrunk - - as has the menu choices. Back in 2006 it was well worth the effort to get here, but I can't say that today. Food was good, but for us, it was a failed expectation.

Da Sandro is a little bar-restaurant in the heart of the lively San Polo district. A few little round tables outside, a few little square tables inside. Sandro and his wife run it, by the time we got there he was a few sheets to the wind after a long hard day - it's a popular place - but we were welcomed inside and soon sipping excellent wine and in my case eating the tenderest and tastiest octopus pasta I've ever had. That's it. Enough said.

A small family restaurant with inside seating for maybe a dozen people. The food is wholesome traditional Italian. You can see the chef preparing everything pretty much right in front of you, there is only a glass window between the restaurant and the kitchen. The meals came reasonably quickly, they looked good and tasted fantastic. A very inexpensive and thoroughly enjoyable dinner. I would happily recommend this restaurant to family and friends, and would choose to eat here again..

We didn't eat there but the bar is perfectly located for a nightcap. During the day the street is too busy but our hotel was close and we went in for a last beer. At this time you can see people passing by and the streets are becoming more and more silent...
