Neighborhood: San Marco
Description: Tables laid on a magnificent terrace under the stars or in the elegant indoor dining room, in the enchanting settings of Campo Sant’Angelo, the Ristorante Acqua Pazza and its cuisine are an exclusive and extraordinary piece of Amalfi in Venice. Each recipe is the fruit of authentic Amalfi cuisine, each dish is exquisitely prepared with quality fresh ingredients, always accompanied by Campania wines that enhance the Mediterranean flavors. The delicious appetizers and sublime fish dishes, mouth-watering pasta, magnificent Neapolitan pizza and cordial Iennaco family have won over those who love Venice and fine dining.

“Great atmosphere”

very nice atmosphere to have dinner however, we had the signature seafood Risotto which was slightly cold and to be honest not much above average. All others parts of our meal was above average. For the price it was average at best

“Wonderful dinners”
Reviewed September 22, 2012

My husband and I stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant after getting lost in the streets of Venice. We have never eaten in the same place twice, while on vacation. To many places to try. But we did return to Acquapazza for our last night in Venice. The food was fresh and delicious. The complimentary started and liquor and the finish are nice touches. We loved it.

“Average but expensive, waiters not very friendly.”
Reviewed September 21, 2012

My title says it all. The restaurant was highly rated by a number of guidebooks but we thought foodwise it was just OK. The waiters, though really not unfriendly were certainly not warm an experience quite different from most of the other meals we had in our 7 days in Venice.

“Faulty Towers Restaurant without the humour”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

You would think that it wouldn't be hard to get the restaurant thing right in Venice when you have a beautiful location on a piazza. These guys are just so, so bad. It all starts with the attitude. You are a tourist and if you don't understand the menu it's your problem. When they want to rearrange the shade umbrellas above your food while you are eating you must accept it.

When the waiting staff roll their eyes at you for requesting assistance you get the feeling that you should have gone elsewhere. If all that wasn't a bit irksome the bill makes sure you won't return. More than twice the price of similar restaurants in Venice it is an experience you won't forget, for all the wrong reasons.
