“Good”

Good location, good service. The room was ok but it was impossible to close the curtains completely so early morning the sunbeam appeared into the room. Not a big deal but something to improve.

Well, I wouldn' t say that I am completely satisfied staying in this hotel. We stayed in the romantic room which was clean and quite comfortable with a large bed. The breakfast, standard one, is served in the room at the time you choose. For me, it was not so nice eating inside the room. The thing that I did not like at all was that our room was very dark due to the fact that the window was opossite to an alley.
I confess that its situation is magnificent, close to all. I found the previous review very helpful in order to find the hotel, many thanks!!!
BUT, do not stay there if yoy don t speak italian!!!!!!!!!!Ioanna does not speak at all and I could understand her because I can speak spanish. I cannt understand why people that live from tourism do not speak english!!!!!
I have visited other places in Itay and they know the basics...Our flight was postponed and we arrived one day after, I tried to explain but it was useless..We had booked the roomvia booking.com and according to the cancellation policy. we paid for the night we lost even though it was not our mistake.

Stayed at BBD for two nights. Location is outstanding - hotel is between the Rialto and Piazza San Marco in Campo San Luca, but closer to Rialto. If coming from Piazzale Roma/Sta. Lucia Train station (which we were), take Vaporetto (waterbus) 1 or 2 and get off at Rialto (closer than if you get off in San Marco). Take Calle del Carbon which will take you straight to Campo San Luca and S. Paternian (street where hotel is located).

A swiped key card is used for entry to the room and an exterior door. The room and bathroom are both spacious, modern and clean. There's a small TV with only Italian channels. Breakfast is served in your room per your requested time - packaged toast, croissant, pastry and a cup of coffee - adequate, but nothing to write home about.

Venice is such an enchanting city with a lot of character, easily explored on foot and the vaporetto. Would recommend buying a pass for however long you are staying, example, 24-48-72 hr pass, etc.; a few rides on the vaporetto pays for itself. Can also use the same pass to go to murano and burano. If doing the gondola ride, go on Sunday, mid-morning to afternoon, seems to be the least expensive time; always negotiate the price.

Would stay here again, but will also check out Hotel Serenissima - same great location, not as modern, but quite good by European standard, and cheaper.

We found this B&B being a hidden gem in the heart of Venice. The rooms are small but not suffocating. The location is amazing. it only has one floor, so not too many stairs to do with suitcases. they offered to keep our suitcases after we checked out. Breakfast is very simple, nothing exceptional. because they do not have a breakfast room, you get room service at no extra charge. the hotel was hard to find at first. i would definetly stay there again

We stayed in this B&B in May and I could not have loved it more. The only negative is that it is not clearly visible from the pathways and there is no wifi. So if you chose to stay here (which I would highly recommend) then do yourself a favour and print out a map before you leave home. The best way is to get the vaporetto to Rialto bridge and walk...it is merely a 5 min walk with no canals to cross so easliy done with luggage.
We were in the romantic room and it was divine. The lady at reception showed us the other rooms and they were just as beautiful. All rooms were large with great comfy beds and fantastic showers. The toilet were odly shaped (round) but did their job :) The air conditioning worked a treat and breakfast was great.

Arrived very late at night met by a very friendly lady who spoke little english but did everything she could to help, ask for directions to the hotel before arrival and it is not hard to find if you keep your eyes open, next door to a little clothes shop, round the corner from burgerking. Room was very clean and had everything you need for a short stay, shower was fab, location was brilliant, half way between St Marks and the Grande Canal, it is only a short walk to the waterbus pick up point, a savory breakfast was even left in our room over night so we could get a bite to eat before we left at 4 am to catch the flight home. would recommend it as a very fairly priced option for accomodation,

We reserved three nights here, and phoned to tell them that we were arriving at midnight. We were told they would be no problem, and someone would be waiting. We arrived to find a note with a telephone number to ring on the door (no sign for this B&B, by the way -- which doesn't inspire confidence), but nobody there. We were told by the woman at the end of the phone that somebody would arrive soon, but after one hour of waiting on the street at 2°C in January, nobody had arrived, and the woman first stopped answering the phone, then turned it off completely. We were stranded at 1 AM in the streets of Venice with no hotel. We left a note on the door asking somebody to call us, and we received no call -- no apology, no explanation, and no hotel. We highly recommend that you DON'T book with these very unprofessional people. We were lucky to find ourselves another Hotel at 1 AM.
