This place is wonderful. Great location right on the Canale Grande next to the Vaporetto stop of Ca D'Oro - super convenient.
The check in was efficient and the staff friendly.
The room was amazing, we felt like royalty. We had a side view from the Canale and also a view of the Piazza infront of the hotel. The room was huge! Super high ceilings, with baroque frescos and pictures. The windows and the antique furniture were beautiful. Great walk in closet and beautiful master bathroom as well as a sitting room. Just amazing.
The hotel is also in walking distance of all major attractions in Venice like Ponte Rialto and Piazza di San Marco, which was an added plus.
The only bad thing about our stay was, that we only stayed one night. But we will be back.

Ca'sagredo is a wonderful 16th century palace in a great location. It backs up to the grand canal and is 15 minute walk to St Mark's. We stayed in a huge suite with a spectacular ceiling. You feel like you are royalty being there. It is not a place where you just want to stay and never leave the hotel. However, it is a great hub to explore Venice. The staff was all great and knowledgeable. Some of the things that keep it from being spectacular is the fact that it is over 5 hundred years old- ie) the bathrooms a bit small, floors uneven and a very subtle musty smell (true of all hotels on canals in Venice).

We stayed at this hotel after our Mediterranean cruise for two nights before heading home to Australia. I can honestly say it was one of the highlights of our holiday. No need to drag suitcases as the water taxi was able to drop us off at our door. The room was beautiful with tasteful decor, a very comfortable bed and a large bathroom. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We were a short walk away from St Mark's Square and there were many great restaurants and shops nearby. Breakfast each morning was fresh and tasty with a good choice of food and drinks (including champagne) on the buffet and eggs cooked to order as you waited. I think one of the most spectacular things about this hotel were the huge rooms (they looked like ballrooms) ornate windows and beautifully painted artwork on the ceilings and walls. We wouldn't hesitate to stay in Ca' Sagredo on our next visit to Venice.

Just spent 3 wonderful nights at this amazing hotel situated on the Grand Canal.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff.
Situated near the CaD'Oro it's within easy walking distance of the major sites and the Vaporettos stop conveniently next door.
Very nice breakfast which included hot food as well as an extensive range of Continental items.
We ate lunch on the hotel terrace, looking out onto the Grand Canal, a number of times. The food was very good though on the expensive side - but it is Venice after all?
Would certainly love to come back one day!

Very friendly stuff, great rooms with aircondition and nice bath rooms.
Opposite Rialto Market, you can reach any spot in Venice easily.

Breakfast is the same every day and very basic, here is room for improvement...
Dinner was ok, except steaks were not good at all. This needs to be much better for a 5star Hotel.

My friend booked this hotel so we had no prior knowledge of the place so did not know what to expect. When we arrived by private water taxi we checked in and where taken to our beautiful rooms by the receptionist, and we were pleasantly surprised to find an iced bottle of Prosseco and fresh fruit compliments of the house. We only ate in the hotel once as we wanted to explore Venice, but dinner was OK not exceptional.
We were particularly impressed with the service at breakfast as while we were there we had my Wife;s birthday and our friends wedding anniversary the girls serving breakfast help to make both mornings special.
Would I return ? yes but next time we will book direct which I am sure will be cheaper than going through an agent.

A really beautiful hotel situated in a lovely location adjacent to the Grand Canal. Just far enough away from the general hustle and bustle of Venice yet within walking distance of all of the sights.
All the staff were brilliant and could have not been more helpful. Lunch/Dinner on their small terrace is a must with the freshest of ingredients served. If arriving by air, splash out on a water taxi which takes you door to door. This is a once in a life time experience and the chance to feel like royalty. Book on line and save 10% on the taxi fare.
Not too sure on the tipping etiquette of Venice overall, but nobody appeared to push you for any extra costs (not like the USA).
There was just one minor observation we would wish to bring to the attention of the hotel and that relates to the poor variety of bread/rolls served at breakfast. If that could be sorted there would be nothing one could fault.
Bedroom/Suite quality was first class. Be aware that air conditioning may not kick in as there appears to be a minimum setting prior to working. If this occurs reception will reset you room. Also, do not think it is dark in the morning, as turn down service close your shutters at night!! At least we had a good lay in.
Bathroom toiletries were good and the only time I have had mouth wash provided.
