“Fantastic Location”
Reviewed May 10, 2012

We stayed in this hotel for May bank holiday for 3 days. The location is superb, very centrally located just 5 min walk from st mark square and about 3 min walk to Rialto bridge. There is a wide choice of restaurants and shops just a stone throw away. The room was a bit small but nice and tidy. hotel staff at the reception was very professional and friendly. normally their check in time is 3pm however i called them a day before to ask for an early check in and our room was ready when we arrived at 11.30 am. So we were really pleased. I will definitely go back because of the location and good service

Room Tip: try to choose a room overlooking the canal

My husband and I stayed here April 2012. We thought that the hotel was very pleasant, it was a great little find thanks to Expedia. The staff should receive most of the credit as they were all exceptional. Nothing was too much to ask for, they were very cheerful whatever the time. The location of the hotel is perfect, it is close to St Mark's Square and the Rialto Bridge. When we first arrived I asked Sara to mark on our map where we were and she outline a complete route to all the tourist attractions. The room was a standard double with a private bathroom, all the standard furniture and equipment was in the room. Our towels and bedding were changed every day as you would expect. I must mention how good the breakfast was. We have had a lot of experience with continental breakfasts and must say that the standard English breakfast option is usually toast, however here it was so much more, there were plenty of cereals, (coco pops, cornflakes, muesli to mention a few) yoghurts, bread rolls, pastries and many more. The best thing for my husband was that they had little pots of Nutella amongst the jams. He was in his element. We would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend and if we ever return to Venice I would be back staying at this hotel in a heart beat.

Stayed for a few days in April with my daughter and had a wonderful holiday. Our room was one of the quietest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in and was thoroughly cleaned every day - with a fresh set of fluffy towels. We were on a budget and opted to share a bathroom, which was very smart and always clean. The breakfast was great and got us off to a good start in the mornings. And the location is very good - only a short way from the stop for the airport waterbus so we didn't have any trouble carrying our suitcases, almost next to the Rialto and also just a few minutes' walk from St Mark's Square.

The very best thing about this hotel was the staff. Their professional friendliness and a bit of banter made this a really enjoyable place to stay. We needed to checkout before breakfast, so they made us a picnic breakfast to take with us. I honestly don't think I have stayed at a hotel where the staff have made me feel so welcome and cared for. Thank you Hotel alla Fava!

Stayed in Hotel all Fava for a weekend in April - had some difficulties with the booking as I tried to modified the booking from 3 people to 4 people. I thought it was fair enough that we are unable to do so. However, went to the room and we got 4 people room! However, the man in the front desk is very nice and said sorry etc, anyway our other friend has found another hotel nearby. Location is real good, walking distance to the square and the bridge. But then again, Venice is small enough, almost everywhere is walking distance...

It is exceptional value considering our spacious bedroom and bathroom (maybe due to the fact it is 4 bedder not 3). PLUS our room is overlooking the water so we have this soothing sound of water splashing when we went to bed that night. Overall it is a great hotel, will definitely come back to stay here again when I go back to Venice.

Room Tip: Choose the room next to the water.

Stayed here for a couple of nights in March and loved it. The hotel is in a very central location within walking distance to the Rialto bridge and St. Mark's. It's easy to find as well with Sara's directions. The view of the canal from our windows was spectacular. But what really made the difference was the service from ALL the staff. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating from the moment we emailed to inquire about availability right until checkout. Plus the price is very reasonable for Venice! The only 'con' is that there is no free wifi. But again, the staff is very helpful in looking up any info you need. We wanted to know about mass times and they were very quick to look it up and give us directions. Would definitely recommend staying here in a heartbeat.

Just came back from a week in Venice and a very pleasant stay at this hotel. I can really recommend this hotel. It couldn't be better located. Close to San Marco and Rialto bridge. I had to go from the train station several mornings and it took just 10 minutes from the Rialto with the vaporettos. It is beautifully laid out in a little square with a church, a ponte and the canal.
Staff is wonderful, cheerful and helpful! They helped me to get some caffelatte & cornetti before they had the breakfast opened! That is service! (Talking about breakfast, it's very good! Only thing that could be improved is that the coffee is from a machine and not brewed "a casa"). They also let me use their computer to check-in on the airline home, and even print some stuff. Helped several times to find places on maps etc. Forgot my tootpaste and shaving cream home, which the helpful maid brought me at once...
Very nice and clean room. Comfortable bed with like new linen. I had shared WC & shower, and it was always clean and tidy. Warm water and fresh towels every morning.

A big hug to everyone at Hotel Alla Fava! I will come back for shure! Ci vediamo ragazzi!

/Jonas

We had a terrific visit in Venice. The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful and all spoke excellent English. The breakfast was very good too, and plentiful. The best part of the hotel is its location, close to Rialto, Grand Canal, and San Marco Square.

Room Tip: We had room 110 which had three beds, which was exactly what we needed.
