Close to vaparetto and St Mark's Square. We could see the Grand Canal form our outside our room. An absolute perfect place to stay when you're in Venice.

I took my wife to Venice for her 50th birthday and we decided on Zaguri. Apart from being very central it is in a very quiet area right on a canal. The room was airy and spacious and very clean. The breakfast was ample. I enjoyed the coffee. We had no hesitation in booking a room there again.

we stayed for 3 nights at Zaguri b&b on August 16, and were not disappointed at all, as all we have read here was true: getting there was not a problem at all, the warm welcome with the free refreshing drinks of Mario the owner, his wife also was very helpful and kind, and Anna, the lady at reception was sooo helpful and did her best to give us all the details needed to enjoy Venice :)
the room was very large, clean, with AC, overlooking a very quiet and lovely side canal where only gondolas are allowed, and bed was pretty comfortable.
the location is quiet convenient as it is close to everything (the grand canal, San Marco square, etc...), but a 30 min drive in the vapporetto to the Ferrovia which is the Santa Lucia train station (Venice main train station)
all in all our stay was very good, we will never forget it, and i do recommend this b&b to anyone willing to visit Venice on a budget.

Room Tip: the best room is on the first floor right next to the owner's appartment

We spent 4 nights in August at Zaguri. The staff was very nice, and the directions they give to get there are decent - make sure you have the address with you, as there is not any signage for the hotel, just a small name label at the door. We had a quad/family room. The room is nice enough for what you need it for - sleep and shower. The bed was a little hard for my liking. The breakfast was buffet could have been better. Meat and spreadable cheese, already made toast, hard boiled eggs, one kind of cereal, a cake, and prepackaged pastries. If they could just add some fresh fruit, that would be a great improvement, especially with all the summer fruits that were available. Location was wonderful. Getting a discount for paying in cash is a good perk, too.

Stayed in a triple room - plenty of space. Very clean. Ample breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Close enough to walk to main attractions but in a quiet location. Free internet. Highly recommend. Not fancy - but great value for Venice.

Upon arrival at this quaint and friendly B&B, we felt immediately welcomed and part of the family that owns it. We arrived later than we communicated to the owners and they graciously waited for our arrival to admit us. The owner personally showed us our wonderful room (with a window that opened to the canal below and a view of the bridge) and brought us welcome mimosa drinks and snacks to cool us down after our long journey from Florence by trAin. He also showed us a wall map of the area and pointed out areas of interest for us to visit, including recommending 2 local restaurants for us to eat. He was proud of the community and welcomed us whole heartedly.

The room had a small refrigerator, double bed and single (with trundle if needed) for our 21 year old Daugher. it was quiet and breakfast the next morning was included in price. Cooked to order eggs, coffee and fresh juice. During breakfast the owner took the time to provide us with flight and water taxi info to Naples. Knowing that we had to leave early, she provided us with a cold breakfast of hard boiled eggs and toast and jelly plus juice, which we discovered upon our return at the end of the long day of touring the canals and visiting Murano and Burano.

A positive experience, I will never forget the hospitality and charm of this beautiful place!

Looking forward to spending almost a week in Venice but nevertheless being on a budget, we found the Zaguri B&B to fit our needs quite nicely. The B&B is located in the neighborhood of San Marco only a ten minute walk from the eponymous square, but far enough from the main tourist stretch to make walking a pleasure, not a chore. Close to the Accademia bridge and the restaurants on the Dorseduro and located on a side canal, this B&B is clean and functional, on the second floor of a Venecian Palazzo with only a small number of rooms (4 or 5). The manager is from the Veneto and therefore had a number of valuable restaurant and sightseeing tips, especially in the lagoon area, at her disposal. The rooms are average sized and relatively spartan; our bathroom was quite large by Venetian standards. We felt the family atmosphere which permeated the B&B and would definitely recommend it, also for an extended stay. At the end of the low season an excellent value in a seldom economical city.
