A beautiful breakfast room, lovely decor, fresh Venetian food. But the best thing, was our lovely, attentive Chiara , in charge of breakfast room.
She had a sincere interest in giving us a personalised experience. Thankyou from Cheryl & Shaun

The hotel was excellent in all respect, no doubt about it. However we had a little difficult experience at the hotel. We had the top floor rooms, it was cold outside, and the AC doesn't do any heating. We did approached reception, but we were told as per regulation heating was not allowed. As a result, we were shivering inside the room. This was aggravated by the act that our bed we're nearer to the window (for good reason of course), and there were no carpets in the room, neither any room slippers provided. So had to struggle to step out from bed.

However, let me state some obvious positives of the hotel:
1) superior location - just beside the canal and 10min walking from Santa Lucia station.
2) cleanliness
3) flowing hot and cold water
4) on request water heating kettle

The breakfast area is small, understandably hotels in Venice are small compared to traditional hotels. Also the spread of breakfast are limited to breads, salamis, cornflakes and croissant along with tea/coffee and whole fruits.

My rating was affected by the chilling experience inside the room for 3 days.

Dear Mr. Dey,

good afternoon and thank you for taking the time to write an honest review about your experience at Palazzo Cendon.

While we are glad that you appreciated our location and service, we are sorry about the discomfort caused by the lack of heating.

We would like to clarify a few details regarding the heating situation. It affected the whole building and all the hotels in the city, or at least the ones that abide by the regulation you have mentioned: by law, in April we must switch our AC system from heating to cooling, no matter what the actual weather conditions are.

It has been decided in order to respect the environment and reduce the pollution, which lately has become a major issue all over the world.

This spring has not been as warm as last year, so far, but as we cannot turn on and off our AC system as we please, unfortunately we could not provide our rooms - along with the reception and common areas - with the usual heating we have in winter/autumn.
We understand the difficult situation you had to face, and we apologise for that, but we are to comply with the law.

As for slippers, we can provide them on request.

We hope to have you and your family at Palazzo Cendon again as our valued Guests.
We wish you a great weekend.

Best regards,
Silvia

We really enjoyed our stay at Palazzo Cendon. The location is great, out of the tourist hustle but close enough to the action. The room was lovely, we really like the sky light and being able to hear the rain on the roof. Breakfast was delicious and ample. The crepe shop (Cocaeta) just down the road is absolutely sensational. Only negative was a malfunctioning toilet in our room which staff claim is just a tricky button (pretty sure it's not tricky, it's faulty). All in all a great stay and would happily return!

We absolutely loved our stay at Palazzo Cendon. The room was extremely comfortable and the view from our balcony was amazing but I would have to say one of the nicest things about the stay was the staff, especially Silvia. It was lovely to be greeted so warmly. The hotel is in a quieter part of Venice which was really nice and it’s a very easy walk from the train station and very close to a vaporetto stop which made getting around simple.
