Stayed here for a few days. Venice can be pricey for hotels but this was great value close to a great part of town. Water taxis just outside (including the one to the airport) and safe and clean. Two minutes from St lucia station.

We stayed at Palazzo Cendon after reading about it in Tripadvisor. My mom and aunt stayed at the room with a balcony overlooking the Canal and the loved it, especially at sunset. The property is an authentic Venetian palazzo, yet the accomations are comfortable and spacious.
The breakfast was a bit too basic... but at least you could start off the day with coffee and bread and some fruit . It seemed that the breakfast goods did not get re.stocked or refilled as often as they needed to be.
The directions the hotel staff send you once you book are very clear, and the walk from the station to the hotel is through a street filled with souvenir shops and gellaterias. The staff is friendly and helpful.

My parents, my little sister and I stayed at Palazzo Cendon 2 weeks ago. The hotel is a bit more tucked away in, what seems like a more local/authentic, location. It's close to vaporetto stop and also the train station. It is NOT (thank god) close to San Marco square, which we found to be way too packed and touristy. The local restaurants and bars are also much much more reasonably priced than as you get closer to San Marco.

The hotel itself is clean and comfortabe. My parents stayed in room 5 and my sister and I in room 6, which were all the way at the end of the hall way on the 2nd floor. This worked out perfectly as there is a bar/pub right next room and seems to be very loud at night. We did not hear anything, mainly thanks to our rooms being the furthest away from the bar.

The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the bathrooms are small but new. There is AC in the rooms, which was a life-saver due to the 90 degree weather during our stay. The breakfast is just OK (some fresh fruits, coffee, tea, white bread rolls, jam, yogurt and cereal), but I have not seen a great central/northern European-like breakfast anywhere in Italy included in the room price. Wifi is available, but only in the lobby, for 10 Euro for the entire stay. Overall, the price we paid for the 2 rooms was reasonable considering it's Venice and I think the hotel exceeded our expectations. This is a nice find and would recommend it.

Room Tip: I would ask if room 5 or 6 is available. Very quiet.

Venice was our last stop as part of our honeymoon and when we got to the hotel we were a bit disappointed. The room was smaller (compared to all the other rooms we stayed at) for the price we paid. That is probably because Venice is expensive. They put us up in an apartment near the hotel and not in the hotel itself. We shared a common kitchenette (which we couldn't use) with another couple. The breakfast was included in the room charges and they didn't have much to offer. The first day we got some spoilt soggy cereal.

Getting to the hotel was easy thanks to the directions given to us by the hotel. Nothing is numbered in order in Venice, so make sure you have the exact directions to your hotel. The good thing though about the hotel is the proximity to the main railway station in Venice and also to the bus station. The hotel is a few minutes walk to the Grand Canal also.

This is a great place to stay, wonderfully situated in a quiet area on a wide, picturesque canal and easy to find. The hotel is close enough to the train station to walk (so you don’t have to stand in line waiting for a vaporetto ticket) but removed enough from the busyness and crowds of tourists. It’s also very convenient to the Alilaguna (orange line) boat stop for travel to and from the airport. We loved our beautifully decorated second-floor room with its lovely canal view! This well air-conditioned room, accessible by elevator, had a safe, mini-fridge, and ample drawer and closet space. Although other reviewers have mentioned free wi-fi access, we were told that it would cost 10 euro for the duration of our stay. Breakfast, though adequate, had a smaller selection than other places we visited. The hotel staff (especially Francesca!) was terrific—very helpful and patient in answering questions, making reservations, and providing useful information about restaurants, transportation, and other aspects of the area. We did hear some noise from the tavern that others have commented on, but it seemed to quiet down at a reasonable hour.

If you arrive by train with luggage and want to avoid the steps in front of the station, use the station exit on the far left, which opens to a ramp leading to the front. For a quiet, peaceful respite, don’t miss the public park, whose entrance is on the left as you walk along the canal towards the hotel.

We take the superior room with canal view in the Palazzo Cendon - first of all the criteria's for me in Venice was the canal view, old building and Venice atmosphere - all these I get in Palazzo Cendon - it's very old (1437 year) building, but has elevator, which was very useful for heavy luggage. The room was big, with old furniture, very cosy, bathroom also was big with bath tube, very clean. The breakfast is italian style - without cheese, but some croissants, jams, fruits, juices, cofe. The view from the room was wonderful and more wonderful is to hear the sounds of Canareggio, if you keep your windows open at night. Very good located in not very touristic, but more quiet area from where you could easily reasch all touristic attractions and at the same time it's very comfortable for those who arriving by train, you will just go walking about 10 minutes with luggage from station without passing any bridges. And the staff! I'm once again thankful to all the girls who made several changes to our booking and each time were very helpful. We know where to return in Venice!

Room Tip: Take the room with canal view!

The hotel is easy to find, and conveniently situated near 2 vaporetto stops. It is only a short walk to nearby cafes and restaurants. The room was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The bathroom was very nice and clean. We stayed in a junior suite so had a balcony with an amazing view of the canal. I would highly recommend this as we got the opportunity to sit outside and relax with a bottle of Bellini!!
