We were travelling as a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 eight year olds, for 3 days, and wanted somewhere where we were close to the main areas of Venice where we could come and go as we pleased.
The apartment was literally 2 minutes from the Rialto, tucked away in a little side street, in an old converted building, on the top floor. A quick stroll around the corner to the Rialto Market for breakfast...and then off for the day...
Clean, bright, spacious, fully equipped if you want to self cater, and surrounded by restaurants if you don't! I thought it might be quite noisy given the location, but not at all....couldn't have been better.
2 decent sized double rooms, and a lounge area meant we were all catered for, with plenty of space.
A fantastic visitor guide in the apartment helped us plan our days around some of the sightseeing advice, and restaurant recommendations (everywhere suggested was really good...split into cheap, moderate and expensive (but not too expensive!) to cater for all budgets). A couple of 'personal' recommendations meant you felt like you were eating in places that local Venetians would eat rather than the well trodden and overpriced traveller eateries...
....and the very local rep was on hand via text/phone if we had any questions.
If you can stretch to it, Truly Venice will arrange water taxi transfers to the airport - a particular favourite of the kids...
A great apartment....no hesitation in going back there
