Stayed for 2 nights post-cruise.

Very centrally located and (reasonably) easy to find.

We got upgraded to a room with 2 bathrooms.

Lovely little balcony at the water entrance. You can have your breakfast there or just relax in the evening (which we did) and watch the gondolas go by -- kinda like having your own private little water parade.

i booked the hotel purely from the great reviews on tripadvisor and we were not disappointed. The room is decorated. The room is decorated in a classic Baroque style, very Venetian! The bathroom is adequate with great shower pressure and some grape scented toiletries. The breakfast was very good, not just Italian way, fresh fruits, bread nice capucinos. it was in a great location, only a 5-7 minute walk to San Marco square and all the wonder of the centre of Venice. Cafes and restaurants are plentiful and the shops are amazing. This hotel is not cheap - but compared to others in Venice it is fantastic value for money. Great hotel and great staff !!!

Me and my husband stayed for 4 nights at hotel Becher. We had a canal view room that was a decent size decorated in a lovely venetian style. The room was good, only problem was the wet room style shower, where water would go everywhere! The breakfast was continental and good. The two gentlemen front desk staff were brilliant, lovely and always welcoming. The small area by the canal was excellent, where you could watch the gondolas go by. We really enjoyed this. The hotel has free wifi and you can borrow an iron and ironing board aswell. The hotel is 5-7 minutes walk to St. Marks square/piazza San Marco, it was very easy to get to. The vaperetto stop is close by too. Overall, a good hotel and as a tea drinker, the hotel had free tea and coffee available for guests on the second floor at all times, this was a added bonus for me!

We spent two weeks touring Italy during the Christmas Holidays and we actually spent Christmas Eve, Christmas, and two more days in Venice at the Hotel Becher. It was a wonderful and romantic time. We were on the second floor and our window overlooked one of the quaint side canals that wind through the city. While we were in the room, with the window open, we were often serenaded with the sounds of the Gondola Musicians and their enchanting "Old World" songs. Venice itself is not large but the Hotel Becher is centrally located to give travelers quick access to any of the Cities’ amazing sites, St Mark's Square, wonderful food, museums, and cathedrals. The hotel itself is well kept and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Their is always someone smiling and greeting you at the front desk and asking if they can help in any way. The place is a great value as well. I would stay here again without hesitation on my next visit.

Room Tip: Get a room that overlooks the canal! Go off the beaten path for food as you will then find authentic Venetian Cuisine, all the stuff along the main strips with menus in multiple languages are tourist traps, over priced, and not that good. Get the golashes! They look silly to see everyone wearing them but when the tide rolls in and you have to wade through a foot of nasty canal water to get back to your hotel you will be thankful to have them.

We were given a lovely big suite overlooking the canal with a balcony. Breakfast was continental but plenty of choice. All staff on reception were friendly & helpful. Extortionate transport fees but that's not the hotels fault. 110euro from airport to cruise ship, 90euro from ship to hotel landing, 120euro from hotel to airport. Situated close to St Marks & Rialto bridge both 5 mins walk but be prepared for steep prices, best to walk further to eat & drink. Nothing was too much trouble, only slight downside were the beds not very comfortable.
