Hotel Dei Dragomanni
Ranked #136 of 384 Hotels in Venice

Hotel compact, clean but hard to find, staff friendly and helpful and daily cleaning service to rooms. Room not big with free safe and not so free minibar.Bathroom had shower over bath which needed good mobility to get in and out bath very deep although they do have rooms with walk in shower.
Breakfast was served up to 10.30 am continental with cereal, juices fruit and fresh breads and croissants.
We had booked hotel near St Marks Square well this hotel is 5 bridges and 15-20 min walk from the square and you need a good sense of direction.
We arrived in Venice by train from Parma and decided to take a water taxi to hotel 60 euros but it left us off at bottom of street where hotel was ,we seen lots of people dragging suitcases up and down steps as public waterbus service stops at different berths en route
Again watertaxi from hotel to airport 110 euros
We did use the public waterbus to go down the canal , costs 7 euros for an hour we then had lunch at one of the many restaurants and came back up on waterbus again.
Venice is expensive , to sit down at table in St Marks Square in pm costs 6 euros each plus your drinks it can be a very costly experience. There are many eating venues but we enjoyed VinoVino wine bar which is near the Teatro la Fenice it has a beautiful courtyard restaurant and one of the more reasonable priced restaurants

Room Tip: Restricted mobility ask for room with walk in shower

We stayed at the hotel 4 nights and had a great time in Venice.

The staff are really helpful and friendly. They go out of their way for you. The room was very clean and in good state. The atmosphere was lovely and the hotel is in a great central and quiet location. Would stay there again.

Thank you to all the staff to being so great, to the point when they prepared breakfast for us in a bag as we were going on a day trip to Verona.

The only things missing in the room were tea/coffee and cups/glasses

Room Tip: There was no pool, so hence the poor rating, but we were not looking for a pool. Great for having c...

Fantastic old world charm but with all mod cons. Brilliant location. Rooms spacious and clean. Hard to find but well worth the effort It was everything we hoped our stay in Venice would be and lived up to all we'd heard about the romance and beauty of Venice. Our highlight was standing on the jetty at the end of our street and taking in the magical view of the Grand Canal. The staff were exceptional and would happily stay there again Thoroughly recommend. Have Dimitri fix you a Campari in the bar after an exhausting day.

The location was great and out of the tourist traffic. The rooms were fairly clean. The lobby had burnt bulbs and the fixtures were not well maintained. The ceiling in room 1 is mildewed with holes and they had paper filling the holes. The front desk person at check out tried to charge us for towels he claimed were missing. Upon challenging my daughter who offered to open our luggage in embarrassment he apologized stating it was in error after discussing with maintenance staff member. We had rented two rooms. Never been treated like this. Very poorly maintained and unprofessional. I hope it's an isolated incident and I would not stay there on my next visit.

We had a three night stay and this hotel is perfect for exploring Venice. The room was clean and comfortable with Air-Con. Breakfast was excellent, and set us up for the day of exploring. We used the Alilaguna Orange Line (Waterbus) from the airport to the Giglio stop, which is then only a few minutes walk to the hotel. (27 euro return)...really straightforward.

We had a great time, loved Venice and will definitely return....

A wonderful experience! We were there for our honeymoon, stayed in room 27 and enjoyed our stay. The included breakfast was excellent. I would recommend it to anyone, and we will surely stay here again when our travels bring us back to Venice.

We had a long weekend away from the kids and stayed at this hotel. Having not been to Venice before, my wife decided a water taxi from the bus station was the best way in. Lovely way to be introduced to Venice if you can afford it. We were dropped at a dock 30 meters from the hotel, which saved a bit of navigation from the vaporetta dock. We were met by very friendly staff who gave us a map and penned in a good introductory walking circuit through San Marco and around the two bridges that cross the Grand Canal and back. Staff at the front desk also organised tickets to Vivaldi concert for us during our stay. Breakfast buffet was lovely and staff attentive. Very nice boutique style experience. Highly recommended for a long weekend stay. Rooms were bright and clean as well.
