“Romantic hotel in heart of Venice”
Reviewed August 26, 2014

so... It was a little difficult to find, down a small side street in Venice (they're all side streets!), Looks quiet ordinary from the outside, and in the reception. But then we booked in. Customer service was excellent throughout our stay, and was indeed the major selling point of this hotel. Our room was excellently cleaned, bed was turned down every night. The room was quiet large, and decor very romantic/traditional Venetian style, the bed sooooo comfortable. Shower was amazing. We didn't get much of a view from our room (unless you count looking out onto a pizza takeaway/smokers alley a view) But when you go upstairs to the cocktail bar (You really must!) the views are amazing over the city. We went upstairs in both day and night. The staff upstairs in the cocktail bar were as asset to the hotel. Extremely friendly, polite attentive and just lovely people (that maybe the cocktails talking) When they found out we were on Honeymoon they gave us a little more attention. Altogether we had a lovely 2 nights here.

This hotel is perfectly located (3 minutes walk from the Rialto), with an efficient and friendly staff. The rooms have the right size (we had an upgrade) with all the amenities and there is a rooftop bar to relax at the end of your busy days. You won't be disappointed!

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade.

My husband and I chose this hotel based on Tripadvisor reviews. We expected the hotel to compare to those we chose in Rome and Florence in the same manner. Unfortunately, our stay was more mixed.
Pros:
Location: The hotel is literally 2 minutes from the Realto station. This is crucial since Venice is very crowded and getting around by water bus (Vaporetto) is a necessity, especially when carrying luggage.
Breakfast: Was included and delicious.
Cons:
Room; Our room was small with very large bathroom. The fabric adornments around the bed were tired and unnecessary. The bedcover had a cigarette hole in it. The blanket was a brown fabric rough to touch. The reception sent up the head of housekeeping who did not speak a word of English. I then asked the management staff if we could get a white cotton blanket instead. They replied they had none. Our room, #304, was directly below the outdoor bar/terrace on the 4th floor. We needed to go to sleep on the early side the night before our flight and had trouble due to the noise (shuffling tables and chairs) from above. When we called the concierge, they responded as though they never heard of this problem. They never apologized and even appeared disdainful when we attempted to discuss the issue upon departure.
WiFi: Hotel provided free WiFi but in order to use it one had to sign on and off EACH time with a special ID and password. This could be rather tedious if you use the internet even infrequently.
In summary, the hotel's "customer care" is a real turn off to those for whom that feature is important!

What a lovely 'boutique' hotel. Nice room, nice breakfast, good staff but the ABSOLUTE best thing about this hotel is it's location! 3 minutes walk to the Rialto bridge and an easy 5 minutes to St.Mark's square. Would highly recommend it.

My wife, daughter and I stayed here for 4 nights in August 2014, the hotel is absolutely beautiful, our room was spacious, very clean and stylish. The hotel is well maintained and spotless.

The staff were very helpful and attentive, we were supplied with a map of Venice and the staff on the reception desk were very helpful with suggesting places to visit and with restaurant recommendations.

There is a very nice roof top bar, which is the perfect place to have a drink and relax at the end of the day.

The breakfast was traditional continental and was varied and very tasty. The staff serve tea and coffee to your tables and again are very friendly and polite.

The hotel provided free wifi, which was reliable.

The location is central to all of the sights, it is very close to the grand canal and the Rialto bridge, and St Marks Square is only 10 mins away.

We had a fantastic stay here, and would not hesitate to recommend this fabulous hotel.
Thank you to the Staff for making our stay so pleasant.

A charming hotel with a great location on a quieter street but super close to key areas. Lovely rooftop bar and very convenient short walk to water taxi. Friendly and helpful staff and a nice breakfast typical of Italian hotels in this range. Would recommend!

What a warm welcome we received when we checked into the hotel. We got in early, only a 3 minute walk from the water bus. Our room was not ready but the hotel held our luggage and suggested a few areas to go and have lunch. The gentleman at the front desk also gave us a map and went over all the sights that we should see. After a delicious lunch we were shown our beautiful rooms. My husband and I were traveling with our 2 children and they were able to give us 2 rooms next to each other. The staff at the hotel was wonderful. They made great suggestions for meals and made all the reservations that we requested. When we made a call to request more pillows and towels, the staff was knocking on our door in 5 minutes. When we needed to buy a new piece of luggage they pointed us in the right direction and then asked us how we made out when we returned to the hotel. The hotel also offers a "free" trip to Murano. Yes it's a free boat ride. We went with the intention on buying a piece of art. The glass blowing "tour" was very short and then they whisk you off to the showroom. My kids would have like to spend a bit more time watching the actual glass blowing but that wasn't happening. We did buy a piece so we were treated very well. They brought us drinks and also had my children pick out a few inexpensive souveniers. They then provided transportation over to Burano to look at the town and the lace. I do read about people who don't make a purchase and they don't seem happy with the trip The rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel is in a great location. 5 minutes in one direction to the Rialto bridge and 5 minutes walk to St Marks square. Tons of restaurants and shopping right out the front door. The breakfast buffet was beautiful and delicious. Many items to choose from. This is the perfect hotel for anyone that wants luxury in Venice!
