Having visited Venice a number of times over the years we can honestly say that the Hotel a La Commedia is the best we've experienced. Facilities and service are difficult to fault and the hotel benefits from being close to the Rialto Bridge (hence convenient for Alilaguna link to Aeroporto), yet it is quieter than other hotels we've tried.

Spent 4 nights. Great location in centre of city for ease of access, but smart, clean very comfortable and really relaxing. Most impressive are the multilingual, helpful, friendly and informative staff. Was our ruby wedding celebration. This place really worked for us.

Very professional and nice people working at the hotel. Great location with easy access to everywhere in Venice. The hotel is in lovely city. The breakfast was European continental, with some extra items on a menu. Very good hotel bar on property. On the roof is a nice place to seat and enjoy a cup of coffee and listen to the sounds of Venice. I would stay here again next time in Venice.

we have just returned from a 2 night stay and from the moment we arrived the staff were absolutely amazing. we went as it was a special occasion and they upgraded us to a junior suite which was beautiful and i cannot fault the bedrooms. breakfast was equally as good with a great selection! the hotel is only 2 minutes from the rialto bridge so very central. we will definitely be returning. the staff at this hotel are the best in customer service that I've ever come across and you have my stay very memorable, thank you.

Very nice hotel, with excellent service and good location. Rooms are clean, spacious, and well done decorated in Italian style. Service is excellent. I could only recommend this hotel for short and romantic trips to Venice to all couples without children.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at this lovely hotel, situated literally a 2 min walk from the Grand Canal and the Rialto bridge and a short walk from St Marks Square.
From the moment we walked through the door , the staff were very friendly and welcoming and we immediately felt at ease. They seemed to know all the guests and assisted us with booking a restaurant for dinner and also a trip to Murano.
The room was very comfortable and we did not find the beds too hard for us. The pillows were a different matter. They were very flat - 1 pillow was too low and sleeping on 2 were too high. A plumper (non feather due to allergies) pillow would have been nicer.
The room was very clean and well maintained. We booked a classic room and it was a good size. We overlooked the front of the hotel and the street, but didn't really find it too noisy as the double glazing is very good.
Breakfast was very good. There was a wide selection of cakes, pastries, meats, cheeses, fruit and even scrambled eggs and bacon.
Whilst we were in Venice, it was International womens day and all female guests were given a spray of flowers at breakfast. We thought this was a lovely touch and so thoughtful of the hotel management.
We used the bar a couple of times and again the service was excellent.
On leaving the hotel we were given a book mark, which again was a lovely touch.
We will definitely be recommending this hotel and wish we could have stayed a couple more days

Have just checked out of a LA Commedia having stayed 6 nights. Arrived early but room was ready, and then we were upgraded to a junior suite - not huge but lovely to have the extra space. Bed large and comfy. We had such a great time we changed our flights and stayed 2 more nights. Roof terrace lovely for coffee in the morning, roof bar not open yet. Service from everyone was exceptional, nothing was too much trouble. Cannot have a better location. Highly recommended.
