“Good location friendly hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2012

We enjoyed a short break in Venice in early June and were very impressed with this well located hotel. It had good facilities, clean rooms and friendly staff. An adequate breakfast was served and it is within a short walk of a great choice of restaurants to suit all pockets. Although not located on the main canel we did not find this a problem as it was only five minuites walk from the Rialto bridge and water buses and taxis. Would recommend this hotel.

My husband and I had been traveling for 2 weeks and the staff at this hotel were the most helpful. During our stay we were recommended to go to 2 restaurants which were amazing. The rooms are clean, the breakfast was ok, the roof top bar was very cool and the hotel was in a great location. Our biggest mistake was not catching a waterbus from the train station to the hotel, instead we caught a water taxi costing €50, when all you need to do is get of the water bus stop 'Rialto'. I think its a venice thing but the hotel did have a damp smell, which was a bit uncomforting when your trying to get to sleep. I would stay here again mostly for the amazing staff.

The reasons for all the positive reviews were confirmed during our five-day stay.
It is really an excellent hotel. The positive aspects that bring such praise is just what one would expect for its high cost, which is why I state the value is average. My one disappointment was the limit of free internet connection to one hour regardless of the length of stay. At the price we paid, one should expect free internet for reasonable use. Internet is now a necessity on a par with bathrooms, clean sheets, and electricity, and there should not be extra charges for it.
I have to praise the staff at the reception desk for their helpfulness. If you are going to join a cruise at the end of your stay, take a water-taxi to the ship dock. We had a disaster taking the water-bus, because the ship docked at a different place than the San Besilio terminal as stated in the information we had received from the cruise line. Although we ultimately found the ship after being instructed to take the water bus two stops back and a monorail one stop, but not told where to go from the monorail station, those who took water taxis did not have the same trouble because the operators of the taxi know how to determine where the ship actually is there if it is not at the place where it was supposed to be.

We had the pleasure of staying at this hotel in May this year. It had been recommended by our travel agent and it surpassed all our expectations. Having stayed in Venice 3 times previously at a variety of establishments, this hotel is by far the best we have been to. The location, ease of getting there from station make it ideal for travellers. Everything from the Reception staff, dinning room & staff, roof top bar to the room and fittings could not be faulted. We would reccommend this establishment to everyone.

Room Tip: Spend some time on the roof enjoying the view and bar service.

SCORE!!!!! Just like other reviewers, upon arrival we were upgraded to a junior suite. Beautiful hotel and only 2 blocks from Grand Canal. It was a 10 minute walk to St Mark's Square. You can take the public water taxi from the cruise port and get off at the Rialto stop. The hotel is right around the corner from the bridge. Extremely helpful staff, and aways willing to recommend places. Rooftop bar was a great meeting place to start your adventure plus upon check in you are given 2 free welcome drinks. Would definitely stay again for a special reason. Price was little beyond what we normally pay.

Room Tip: Junior suites are unbelievable! Great rooftop bar and great breakfasts
