We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. To start with the good: it has a very good infrastructure - room, pool, sky bar etc. you name it.
However, a hotel is not about infrastructure only. Did anybody ever tell the staff how much
their smile will do with the guests? We had rather the feeling (beside the room maids!) that we are just disturbing the staff‘s daily routine than being welcomed as guests.
Arriving on a Sunday afternoon and after a rather time consuming check in (they had all our personal information in advance!) we went to the executive lounge which was empty. For good reasons: no service, no snacks, cold drinks that were warm and a lady on duty that makes you frighten and seems not interested in any guest at all.
Next morning a rather unfriendly welcome in front of the breakfast room. Sitting at the table we ordered 2 soft boiled eggs. Not only the eggs took 15 minutes, but they arrived hard boiled, staff expected us to eat them with the usual big table spoon (!) and the salad decoration -sorry to say - an animal would have refused to eat it. I called the supervisor and she agreed and apologized.
Ok - there are bad days even in a good hotel up and then. However, the next two mornings it happened the same: long waiting time, eggs not soft but hard, no appropriate spoon and poor decoration. We complained on second morning either, on third we simply gave up.....
Looks like their slogan: „We make it right“ is more or less a marketing phrase.
