Stayed here for the carnival 2014 . The building is an old mill and sits tall and proud overlooking the grand canal.

The bellboys were efficient and the check in was swift.

The team ensures we had a room with a view overlooking the canal and the room didn't fail to impress. From the high ceiling to the bay window overlooking the canal the room was superb.

Regular maid service is welcome and the room is cleaned well. The tv needs to be looked at, didn't really work but a time away from the tv did us good.

As gold members we had access to the executive lounge. Small selection of food and drinks is a nice compliment to the canal views . My only criticism is that this area really should be a child free zone, the screaming kids did nothing to help us relax. And I saw a dog casually walking though with their owner , again for me a no no , especially as food is in proximity.

The shuttle to San Marco is handy if a little infrequent as we like. Per half hour would be handy and , a shaded place to stand when the venice weather is having a rainy day would also be welcomed.

The hotel delivers exactly what to expect from the hilton brand . And the management team did everything to make sure we had a great stay.

Stayed at the Hilton Molino with a group of friends to celebrate a 40th birthday party. The room was a beautiful double one, bathroom clean with a very good shower. All our stay was extremely pleasant, the staff was very helpful and nothing was too much of a bother. Breakfast is served in a kind of green house, massive choice, from cooked breakfast to continental, anything that you can think of it was available. I can appreciate the fact that this hotel can be quite expensive, but since i was sharing the room with a friend , it was not too bad. I was quite glad i had the opportunity to do that, otherwise at around £ 500.00 plus taxes for a 3 nights, this place will always be out of my budget. You get free taxi shuttle to cross on the other side of the canal, but after a couple of times we did not really bother, since something was definitely wrong with the "taxi" driver, since his driving was quite hectic and we never felt quite comfortable to be in the same boat with him.
Overall a good enough experience.

We stayed here for most the duration of our time in venice. The hotel offers a shuttle service that takes you from the hotel to downtown, but this only happens every 30-60 minutes. THe hotel is lovely with a beautiful roof top bar, and nice club lounge (which we got to partake in due to my husbands diamond status.) However we were on our honeymoon and the hotel did nothing to recognize the fact that we were on our honeymoon, Nice hotel, and easy to get to to unload luggage from canal (you don't have to cart suitcases up and down bridges and alleys to get there) Or wade thru a flooded san marco square, but if you want to stay somewhere in venice I would pick another hotel. There are a few restaurants within walking distance to the hotel and we had some decent meals there, but it felt like we were in the venetian suburbs, also it is very expensive to move from one hotel to another, taxi costs almost the same as coming from airport downtown.

I have debated on rating the Molino Stucky a 4 or a 5. Definitely all you would expect from a 4 star but based on our experience I must give them another star. I have read some of the negative reviews on service but we found the service excellent, though we did not have any issues to complain about. I used Hilton points for 3 nights and originally was a little disappointed to not be staying in Venice proper but was so happy we didn't. The Hilton is across from San Marcos and has a water taxi to take you across the canal. It was much quieter and peaceful and easy to get to the busy tourist areas! The difficult part is initially getting there as the vaporetto stop is about 1/2 mile away. We had a canal view room which was decent size, the bathroom was very nice, the view incredible. As a Hilton Honors Diamond member we had access to the executive lounge which I thought was far superior to US lounges - it was open all day and had a fabulous breakfast and Happy Hour.

Room Tip: Take a private water taxi from airport or train station or you will have to walk a ways carrying you...

The renovation of this industrial building into a world class hotel is quite remarkable. We had a loverly stay during Venice festival week. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the room and building is stunning. The highlight was evening meals in the Bacaromi resaurant what a pleasure great food and fantastic service from very friendly waiters and support staff.

We stayed in the hotel 27/02-01/03 this year. We went to Venice for our wedding anniversary and selected a package that consisted of accommodation (incl. breakfast), one dinner for two, a guide of Venice and a surprise from the hotel (packet of pasta:). We received a beautiful room with a view. The service was also excellent. However we were truly disappointed with the dinner. It was supposed to be a romantic dinner for us and it turned out to be a disaster. The dinner took place in the so-called Rialto restaurant (though restaurant is a big over-statement). It is actually situated in the lobby. No ambiance whatsoever. Moreover there is a passage that leads to another restaurant and guests are passing by opening the doors. If they don't close the door there is draught. I don't know how you can propose to your guests in a five-star hotel to eat dinner in such conditions? We moved from this 'restaurant' as soon as possible with a 'nice surprise' - we caught a cold (we cannot complain about the personnel - as the service was really good).
As a compensation for our unpleasant evening the hotel paid for a drink we had before in the sky bar (nice service in the Sky Bar - but nothing particular about the place, don't recommend it).
However I have still running nose - thank you Hilton!

Advise: if you want to have a really nice dinner (nice food, ambiance and service) opt for Trattoria ai Cacciatori (just three bridges from the hotel, approx. 5 min). Also instead of going to the Sky Bar I strongly recommend a bar just opposite the Palanca station (one or two bridges from the hotel). A nice place with many locals. Also if you don't have your breakfast included (unfortunately we did have - it was just OK) go outside the hotel and there would be a couple of patisseries we they would serve you with a nice breakfast (they would charge you EUR 30 in the hotel - it's definitely not worth it).
If you look for exclusive stay then opt for the hotel Cipriani (they re-opened in March), Hilton is OK - but nothing particular unless you want to have 'unforgettable' adventure at their Rialto 'restaurant'.

Our first visit to Venice, for two adults and two teenage boys, and the trip proved to be a truly memorable experience thanks not only to the stunning beauty of the city and its magical Carnivale atmosphere but also the comfort, attentive staff and good facilities at this hotel.
Any worries about not staying in the heart of the city were dispelled by the fun of travelling by the free and frequent hotel shuttle, taking in the extraordinary sights along the way. It was also great to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the calm of the hotel's surroundings.
One of the Molino Stucky's many highlights is the excellent breakfast buffet - a great way to start the day. The only shortcoming was that our two deluxe rooms were a too warm, despite the air conditioning being set to maximum cool.
By the way, the hotel now offers free WiFi in the large and comfortable lobby area, so appears to have listened to criticisms posted in earlier reviews on Trip Adviser.
