We stayed here on our honeymoon and had a very nice experience. Our room was large and well appointed and had a great view of Venice across the Guidecca canal. We really enjoyed the executive lounge access and the roof top bar was outstanding! The free water shuttle to Zattare and San Marco were a nice touch.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the front of the hotel. Also, make sure that you find out about the Vaporetto schedule in case the hotel shuttle schedule doesn't meet your needs.

Really great hotel!!! One of the best Hiltons I have ever stayed...
The hotel itself looks stunning, really nice staff, great breakfast, really nice that you have a complimentary shuttle to St. Marks, it is very handy indeed!!
The room is lovely, amazing views to the city.
I will definately be back again!!!!!
Thank you!

Room Tip: the ones view a view definately worth it!!!

Check-in was trying to say the least! It took quite a long time and the people at the desk were obviously tired and running low on patience. The room we were given was decent to look at but the beds were lumpy and the linens were scratchy. The following days, the staff proved to be much more helpful and cheerful. Breakfast was 30 euroes or about $42 US for a buffet. Way overpriced!

The Hilton in Venice has many good points. They've done a good job of converting this historic old building and both the bedrooms & public areas are very pleasant. The free shuttle to and from St Mark's Square and Zaterre ensures easy access to the heart of the action though we did get stuck at the latter for a little while one evening when the boat was full. I imagine this could happen a lot in peak season. It's also incredibly simple to get here from Marco Polo as the Linea Blu river bus (which only costs €27 return) departs from the airport and stops right at the door.

I have a few qualms, however, that stop me rating it higher. Firstly, the wifi is slow and erratic. Secondly, the breakfast is pretty poor. I never really know why the Hilton group insist on serving pretty much the same breakfast everywhere in world. A few delicious Italian pastries - or indeed anything Italian - would have been very welcome but instead it was the bog standard Hilton fare of hash browns, bacon, sausages etc. And oh for a hot cup of coffee! Finally, the executive lounge isn't really up to scratch for a landmark hotel like this. They really need a better selection of both food and beverages. So good but could be much better.

We were guests at the hotel so I have no idea how much it cost (probably a lot). It's a great location and the free shuttle to Venice is fantastic. The room was fairly large, with a comfortable bed, good bedlinen and a large bathroom with separate shower and tub. We were lucky to have a corner room with large windows, overlooking the courtyard.

Good buffet breakfast and very attentive staff at breakfast, they were all very professional and friendly, happy to bring you another coffee or more orange juice. The blueberry muffins had a strange taste to them (very American, almost like they were made from a muffin mix) but the croissants were fabulously light.

On the low points, Wifi is extremely expensive and should really - for a hotel like this - be offered free of charge in all rooms (when we book hotels directly, free Wifi is one of the first things we look for). Toiletries did not include Q-tips nor make up remover pads, which was very strange for a five star hotel, and one bar of soap per room seemed a little stingy. I was not impressed by the fact that there were no bathrobes - again, very strange for a hotel of this stature.

The coffee-making facilities in the room are very useful, though. So, all in all, a good hotel but there are a few things which need ironing out to make it a true five-star experience.
