“Top notch hotel - very impressed!”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

We've just spent 4 nights at the Molino Stucky Hilton and were highly impressed by every aspect of the hotel.

We occupied a Tower Suite which had a fantastic panoramic view of the lagoon across to the Zattere promenade and to San Marco in the distance. The room itself was magnificent with quality furnishings throughout, a lovely bedroom with enormous bed, superb marble bathroom, a lobby area, second bathroom and huge lounge with dining area. There were flat screen TVs in the lounge and bedroom which unusually provided BBC1 and 2 - top marks Hilton!

The hotel is based around the expansive lobby area which is opulent and well served by plenty of willing staff. There are several restaurants but we chose to eat only in the Bacaromi which offered really high quality Italian cuisine in a relaxed but refined environment.

We visited during Carnevale and enjoyed the party held in the Skyline Bar which was very buzzy and great fun. Drinks were expensive by UK standards but not by comparison to other bars and restaurants in Venice.

We had use of the Executive Lounge area in the lobby area which offered all day drinks and nibbles with a super lagoon view. Happy hour with complimentary alcoholic drinks was a welcome addition too.

Clearly there are some restrictions to the Hilton being situated on Guidecca which is quieter and has many fewer cultural attractions than the main body of Venice but we found it a peaceful haven and a welcome retreat from the crowds and madness of San Marco and surrounding areas. The complimentary ferry takes you directly to San Marco or Zattere every 20-30 minutes and is very prompt and efficient.

All in all we greatly enjoyed our stay at the Hilton which is a top notch hotel with excellent facilities in a superb location. Having stayed in Venice many times before in all the best hotels I think we would definitely make the Molino Stucky our first choice for our next visit.

Dear Guest,
Thank you very much for the positive review you wrote on TripAdvisor, especially with regards to the helpfulness of our team members for which we pride ourselves. It is a pleasure to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you liked the accommodation and the offer at our Executive Lounge. It is also important for us to know that you have enjoyed the quietness of the Giudecca island and you liked to be away from the centre of Venice and from the more crowded areas. We thank you for being our guest and we look forward to welcoming you again maybe in the summer season, so that you can enjoy our roof top pool as well!

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at this hotel. Was greeted at the dock outside by a very wet porter, but the rain didn't dampen his spirit and he saw us right through check in and up to our room. The hotel was exceptionally clean in every area. The photos explaining the history of the building was a lovely touch. The Concierge couldn't be more helpful and printed off our boarding passes before we left at no charge and with a smile. Would definitely stay here again if I am lucky enough to return to Venice.

I was not very found of the boat ride from the airport to the hotel. A very small boat and windy - but you cant blame the hotel for that:) I was there off season. Maybe not a problem in the summer? A classic 5 star hotel. Friendly staff, very nice rooms. Only the main restaurant was open we I was there. The food was....ok. Not more. But the breakfast was fantastic. Cava, salmon, different cheeses, fresh fruitsalad, fresh orange juice...mmmm. And a nice bar at the roof.

When we arrived in Venice, it was cold, rainy and windy. Thank heavens when we arrived at Hilton Molino Stucky, all we received were warm welcome.

Every staff at the front desk was attending guests on our arrival. Luckily, a staff (we're sorry we forgot his name) from back of the room saw us (freezing, drenched and about to join the que), he then quickly and kindly ushered us, by opening another desk to check us in. We were completely delighted by his professionalism and empathy of our situation. We were checked into our room immediately, so we can clean ourselves and have a comfortable rest. Great job on that and thank you.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights in Deluxe King room. Room is spacious and clean.
Bathroom also spacious with the amenities refreshed daily. Although it's missing bathrobes and slippers, it's no drama as we just ask the reception staff to deliver them to our rooms.

During our stay, it coincided with Carnival of Venice. We like the location of this hotel, as it's far from the hustle and bustle of the carnival, so it gave us quiet and peaceful rest, yet it's so easy to go to the centre of carnival at San Marco (only 15 mins away with free shuttle boat, compliment from the hotel).

The only thing I don't like about this hotel is the pillows. I reckon the pillows are too soft, as I have to stack 2 pillows on top each other to prevent my head submerged and touching the bed mattress.

Overall it's a great hotel to stay in Venice. The one that can offer us a peaceful rest and the staffs are courteous, friendly and professional.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Molino Stucky for two nights on our Italian vacation. The hotel is beautiful. I used Hilton points for one night stay and paid for the other night stay, which made it much more affordable. The hotel staff was very nice and the hotel water shuttle to the main tourist area was convenient. We never experienced an issue with the boat being full (first come basis). The hotel room was very clean with a view of the water. The bathroom was very spacious with a very nice tub/shower combo. It was nice to take a hot bath after a long day of sightseeing. We had paid for an executive room that gave us access to the executive lounge. This was a very nice added benefit. We received a very nice "free" breakfast every morning in this area and in the evening they served "free" drinks (wine, beer, water, tea, coffee, etc.) and wonderful appetizers. The rest of the day they always had coffee, tea, water and snacks available at no charge. This hotel also has a spa facility. This was the most disappointing part of our stay. To use the spa facility (jacuzzi and sauna) you had to pay 25 euros for two hours and make an advanced reservation. This unfortunately was not stated on the website and one of the reasons I booked this hotel was because it has a spa facility. My husband and I did have massages. Unfortunately the jacuzzi and sauna are not included in the price of a massage either. The massages were nice, but a bit expensive. The spa facility in general is very nice, very clean, and the staff is very friendly. The front desk was very apologetic when we mentioned the price of the spa and that this was not mentioned on the website. Overall, this hotel was very nice and the staff was incredibly friendly. I would recommend staying at this hotel. General advice: do not take the small water taxi from the train station to the hotel, but use the larger water bus/taxi. The water bus was about 1/6th of the price and there is a water bus drop off very near the hotel. The water bus was apprx. 10-15 euros and the smaller water taxi was 60 euros.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the water.

With regards to the SPA,, may I take this opportunity to inform you that the fee to access our E’Space – the biggest SPA in Venice – beside entrance to the sauna, Jacuzzi and Turkish bath, includes a relax area where guests can help themselves to hot beverages and herbal teas as well as the use of personal amenities, like a bathrobe, towels and bathmat. I am sorry if you did not find the information about the entrance fee on our website. My partner and I recently stayed two nights at Molino Stucky for our 10 year anniversary.
We had an amazing time and were extremely impressed with the staff at this hotel.
All the staff we came across were very friendly and helpful and could not vault any of them.
I would definately recommend the Molino Stucky for a special occasion, as the rooms were emaculate, the beds were like sleeping on clouds, the views are lovely and the people were exceptional. The only downside is that as it is on the Island, there isn't many options for food apart from the rather expensive on-site resaurants and room service, so I'd suggest stocking up on a few snacks before arriving. On a nice day, the free ferry is a nice way of travelling to and from San Marcs to get some stunning views of Venice. The shuttle didn't run between 1200 and 1400, however there is a public ferry stop only a moments walk along the waterside.

Room Tip: Definately worth mentioning to reception if you are celebrating a special occasion, you may get a lo...
