“Very nice - would definitely return.”

The Casanova ai Tolentini B&B was a lovely choice for our stay in Venice. The rooms were spacious, beautifully maintained and modern. We stayed in the Classic Double room & later in our stay were upgraded to the Suite overlooking the canal - a lovely view. We very much enjoyed the neighborhood and loved the leather shop downstairs (Il Grifone) & the gentleman who owned it - his work is superb. The Casanova staff were wonderful and very helpful. The B&B is conveniently located near the train station & bus plaza. It was a terrific location to start & end our days in Venice - an easy walk or vaporetto ride to all locations in Venice. We would definitely stay here again. The B&B offers free WiFi but it was not working during our stay. Staff helped us by allowing us to use our laptop in the lobby of the main hotel which was ~ 2 blocks away from our B&B. Staff was very apologetic about the trouble with the WiFi. We enjoyed breakfast at the cafe a few doors down from the B&B (with the breakfast voucher from the B&B) & some mornings also went to nearby Tonolo Bar for breakfast.

Bed and breakfast booked through hostel bookers. This place was perfect for us. Venice is expensive and this was no exception. Hard to find a decent hotel for less than $200/night. The B&B is separate from the main hotel and actually was more like a small apartment. Beautiful room with open wood beam ceilings and marble bathroom (although pay attention, the floor gets slippery and the shower was Tiny with a capital T!). If stairs are a problem for you, first off, do not come to Venice because they are everywhere. Location of the room was perfect. Close to Piazzale Rome and bus station, so we didnt have to drag our luggage through the city like many other people we saw. Plus this sestiere is less crowded than Rialto or St Marks, though not a far walk from either. I’m extremely glad we didn’t book a hotel in the more crowded areas. Dealing with the crowds during the day is bad enough – it was nice to have a quiet little getaway. Room includes free breakfast vouchers for a small cafe around the corner – basically lots of carbs – croissant, 2 rolls, jam/butter, juice and coffee. The coffee being the highlight of the meal.

Beautiful, clean, modern, loved the old beams on the ceiling. Easy to connect to the bus to the airport. Wonderful area, on top of a great restaurant (Ae Cravate).
We will definitely return, we loved every moment in Venezia.

We loved our stay at Casanova Ai Tolentini. The area was perfect for us, as it was quiet and not overly touristy. The manager was very friendly, funny, and helpful. He let us lock up our luggage the day we left so that we didn't have to drag it around with us the entire day. The room was the nicest place we stayed in Europe (we were on a tight budget, though), and the price was reasonable, especially for expensive Venice. The view was nice (we didn't stay in the room that overlooked the canal, but we could see out onto the little square and the bridge). The free wi-fi was a nice touch. Breakfast was not included, but the manager recommended a little cafe next door that served good croissants and coffee and juice for only 5 euro. One thing that wasn't clear from the website is that you should call when you arrive or go to the Hotel Ai Tolentini down the street to check in. We went straight to the B&B and were a little confused how to get in (our phones didn't work in Europe), but luckily the manager came by. Overall we loved the Casanova and will definitely stay here again if we make it back to Venice. I'd recommend this hotel for anyone who wants a quiet and relaxing time in the city. If you are interested in spending most of your time in San Marco square, you may want to choose a place closer to San Marco, but if you just want to hang out and experience the city, this is a great place for you.

Stayed with three friends in one room at the B&B -- we got a March discount and the price we paid was exactly what had been quoted when we reserved the room. Simple but tasty breakfast at the cafe around the corner. Fantastic location for exploring Venice by boat or foot -- would definitely stay here again.

B&B Casanova Tolentini is located close to the Bus Station and easy to find, with Alberto’s help of course! The room was large, tastefully decorated and had a nice large bathroom. The people at the café next door who served the very simple breakfast were so sweet. If I stayed again, I would probably not pay for breakfast but I would still visit the little café at least one morning. There were a couple of other cafes in the area I would have visited.
Alberto himself was very charming. He gave a couple of good recommendations for nearby restaurants and answered other questions I had. Except for the night I arrived I did not call him again BUT he made it a point to mention he is available by phone for any questions.
I barely heard anyone else in the building and only ran into the couple next door once. My window overlooked the little sort of courtyard area and into the post office on the corner. The view from the front of the inn is great and I really loved wondering this neighborhood. At night it was quiet and as a solo traveler I felt completely safe here and walking all over Venice. The walk to San Marcos long (20/30 minutes with getting “lost” time) but easy to find if you follow the right signs and it was a wonderful walk no matter which direction I came or went! Or I just took the easy walk to the closest vapporetto and found my way to wherever.
On the first floor of the building is Il Grifone, a lovely little one man leather workshop – be sure to walk in and pick up and touch his quality leather products; I love my new wallet!
This place is a good deal by Venice standards and I would definitely stay here again!

I really enjoyed my stay here, which actually meant all the stress of finding accommodation in Venice paid off!

I really liked this sestiere- it's got all the charm of Venice, with some amazing old churches, but without the crowds. It's also only a 20 minute walk/ short boat trip to the main sights, so a really good location.
