The owners are lovely people, the apartment is very nice. I would suggest moving the tv to a central space and the shower is a little difficult to enter. The location was terrific.
We spent a week here and can thoroughly recommend it. The apartment itself is very well equipped and quiet, with a beautiful, large terrace overlooking the surrounding rooftops. But the best thing about it is the location. It is an easy walk to the Rialto and to the waterbus stop at San Silvestro - and pretty much everything you would want to see is either within easy walking distance (including St Mark's Square) or is an easy ride on the waterbus (e.g., the Giardini). The Alilaguna boat from the airport stops at Rialto, so getting there is very easy - and the hosts were very helpful in ensuring we found our way. They were also very helpful in pointing us to restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries, etc. We thank them in particular for the recommendation of Osteria di Ponte Storto, which is literally next to the front door, and Paradiso Perduta, which was the best meal we had during our stay (and also an easy walk). So, a thoroughly memorable visit, experienced in a unique way. Thank you!
My family of 5 stayed for 3 nights in Mila and Ruzbeh's apartment in Venice. It is a beautifully maintained, clean 3 bedroom apartment with an amazing terrace looking over the rooftops of Venice. Location is superb in the heart of San Paolo, just a stone throw away from the Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge. Mila and Ruzbeh were terrific hosts. Their daughter met us at the apartment and provided us with plenty of information on the apartment and the local area. I highly recommend this apartment.
Lovely comfortable apartment in quiet neighborhood with amazing terrace (bell towers!) that is central enough to walk everywhere but not over run people. Owners were very nice and it is exactly as pictured. It felt like home.
We stayed here with 2 friends for 4 nights on the 11th July.. WONDERFUL Apartment with everything you need catered for..very clean and spacious and the most FANTASTIC views across the rooftops of Venice..The terrace is 1st class..offering a relaxing area to enjoy a glass of wine after a busy time in Venice..wouldn't hesitate to return.
We wanted something unique and warm for our families first visit to Venice. This location was wonderful. Aside from the many, many steps to get to the apartment - this is not for anyone that may have health issues (bad knees, asthma, not wheelchair friendly...).
Upon entering the apartment there is a lot of light, it's open and it's kind of a multilevel. Meaning the entrance has the bathroom and two bedrooms, the third bedroom is on the lower floor and the kitchen/living space and terrace are on the upper third floor (more steps throughout). The kitchen has some views, but the terrace with it's quaint sitting/dining area has stunning views.
All your kitchen needs were there, including bottle water, juice, coffee and some milk for our little one (so much appreciated)! Washer and dryer including (detergent), extra blankets etc... There were plenty of tourist books, a folder with key point areas of interest, maps, many typical q&a's for the apartment, recommended restaurants. Just about everything you can think of.
Mila and Ruzbeh were so helpful throughout the entire process. They would respond fairly quickly to my emails. When an issue arose they were quick to provide some ideas on how to resolve it. Upon our arrival we were greeted with such warmth and were assisted with our luggage (again this was sooooo appreciated)!!
The apartment was in walking distance maybe 5-8 min away from the Rialto Bridge, 15-20 min from St. Marks, 20min or so from the train station (Venezia SL) station to be exact. There was a nearby market (which was also included in the binder at the apartment), many restaurants, osteria's, bar, shops... There was one particular restaurants right below the apartment to the right with a red door (also in the binder as a recommendation). Amazing, fresh, fresh food, I can still smell and taste our dishes.
We truly got the experience we were looking for. It was personal and not impersonal as a hotel would have been. We had tons of room for privacy when needed, we never felt cramped. We only wish that the weather would have been warmer to have enjoyed the terrace more often. A longer stay would of been perfect as well (hopefully next time) - I'd love to go back.
Less stairs would of been nice or lighter luggage! Haha, it's always a joke for us, something to look back on and just laugh - it was worth every step!
This apartment is great. Located in a great area of Venice that gives you easy access to everything but you still have your own little sanctuary. It doesn't take long to walk to the Rialto bridge, St Marks Square etc etc. Not many tourists walk through the area compared to the droves of people in other areas. The apartment is light and bright. Three bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen/dining/lounge area that leads to the balcony/terrace. We spent hours up there looking out across the rooftops and just enjoying it all. Our hosts were great. We arrived early and allowed to leave our bags while they finished cleaning the apartment. Came back later and Ruzbeh showed us everything and was very friendly. It had everything we needed and we were very happy. I would certainly come back to the apartment next time I am in Venice.
