Perfect location within a short distance from the San Marco square. Lots of great little cafés and restaurants nearby.

The room we have been offered was decent in size, but unfortunately horribly dark. After asking for a different one, we have moved next day to a lovely and airy top floor room (with a blue plaque instead of a number).

Good breakfast. However, after few mornings it was quite monotonous.

Tip: if you're not satisfied with your room, ask to move to a different one.

Would recommend.

This hotel is in a great position within range of all the main attractions. The hotel is very old and is basically an annex of the main hotel.
The room we had was small but adequate. Downside is breakfast is served in another building although not very far away. The breakfast was decent without being brilliant.
A bit overpriced but it is Venice.

My husband and I stayed here for six nights in May.

Our favorite feature of this hotel is its location.

The hotel is a 7- 10 minute safe walk from San Marco Square. We were glad we were not closer to the noise of San Marco Square: outdoor orchestras/bands at the bars and restaurants; throngs of tourists admiring the Duomo at all hours of the day; the busiest spot in Venice.

Our favorite museums are located at San Marco Square: the Basilica, Palazzo Vechio, the Correr Museum, the Clocktower. We were glad to be so close to them.

In contrast to Piazza San Marco, this hotel is located on a quiet little street next to a quiet little canal. There are some small shops and cafés nearby, but no dense foot traffic.

The hotel staff made excellent recommendations of nearby restaurants where we ate dinner.

The hotel is about a 5 minute safe quaint walk to the San Zaccaria vaporetto stop. A vaporetto is a boat bus. We bought a weeklong pass and used it to visit sights up and down the Grand Canal, and Murano. The vaporettos run frequently.

The hotel has three buildings. The building most advertised by the hotel is the palazzo. One floor above ground level in the palazzo is a pretty seating area with antiques, and a pretty breakfast dining area. This dining area is reserved for people who reserve suites.

Because we booked a less expensive ordinary room, we were assigned to one of the two secondary buildings. These buildings are nearby, no more than 200 feet from the palazzo.

The building farthest from the palazzo has hotel rooms and a ground floor breakfast area. The food was very good. The breakfast staff was very friendly and helpful. They always remembered to give us a sharp knife to cut the apple.

We were staying in the middle building. Our room was on the ground floor, and was small. (We realize that European hotel rooms tend to be much smaller than those in the US.) There was a small wardrobe in which to hang clothes, which also had a couple tiny drawers. I was able to rest my suitcase on a luggage rack, but my husband had to slide his suitcase in and out from under the bed when he needed something.

The window in our room "looked out" onto a 20 by 20 square foot open air square that allowed for light, ventilation, and quiet. Unfortunately, we could not completely open the window more than a couple inches because it was blocked by a large air conditioning duct.

The air conditioning worked fine, as did the hot water an internet.

During our five week trip to Europe, this hotel had the worst room safe of any of the six places where we stayed. The safe was a small lightweight box about the size of a football. More importantly, it was not attached or anchored in any way to the wardrobe where it was located. Anyone could easily have stolen and concealed the room safe. We did not keep anything in the safe. This was bothersome, because we ended up carrying around all our valuables. Perhaps we should have asked to use a safe at the front desk.

We got a good night's sleep every night at this hotel. We enjoyed our walks in the neighborhood. There is a self-service laundry a couple minutes away. I would stay at this hotel again if we could get a better room at a still reasonable price.

We stayed here in May 2014 as a couple and found the accomodation acceptable but not particularly great. The location is a bit remote compared to other hotels I have used in Venice. It is always, in my opinion, nice to be close to San Mark's Square or the main station area.

I did really enjoy the breakfast buffet!

The Ca' Priuli is separate to, but essentially part of, the 4* Palazzo Priuli. You check in at the same main Reception and are then escorted 30m round the corner to what is essentially an annex in an old house. It's perfectly acceptable and the rooms are clean and reasonably well equipped with good bathrooms and comfortable beds. Don't expect a canal view, except on the way to breakfast, which is served in a third building some 30m back past Reception. However, the breakfasts are of high quality, with as much food as you can eat from the various buffets, although there are only continental offerings, so anyone wanting a 'Full English' is going to be disappointed. Guests also have full use of the main hotel public rooms, in one of which, overlooking the canal, there are always drinks and snacks to be found at no cost.
In summary the Ca' Priuli, whilst not being 'the real thing', is a good budget alternative with most of the benefits of the main hotel without the extra cost.

We stayed at the Ca'priuli for 3 nights in December, it was lovely. The room was old fashioned in a nice way with velvet curtains and carved wooden furniture, it was really clean and had a great range of cakes for breakfast, I'd definitely recommend this hotel for the price we paid.It really is 7 minutes from st Marks square and visit Bacaro Risorto for a glass of Merlo and some tapas with the locals, or Bar Jonny for a friendly good value meal.

We visited in December and Venice was great, not too busy, you could walk around, no crowds and not too cold. Definitely visit Venice in winter.
