The Canareggio area is probably among the most suitable for Venice travellers. Le Mansarde B&B is located at a walking distance from both the main spots to visit in Venice and the strategic locations to arrive and get away. The strain station and Piazzale Roma (where you catch the bus to Marco Polo Airport) are just a few minutes away. Vaporetto stations (public transport by boat) are easily reachable as well, so going to other quarters in Venice or to the nearby Islands (Lido, for instance) is a piece of cake! As far as the B&B itself, I have probably never been in a cleaner place! The antique furniture in the rooms reveals the good taste of the hosts (the Cazzaro family). Anna-María will not hesitate in making you feel welcome from the very first minute you arrive. Her best quality: providing the advice of a true Venetian as to the most interesting spots in the city and restaurants off the tourist beaten track! Thank you, Anna-María! You made a difference in our Venice experince!!!

Le Mansarde was a great place to stay! I was completely satisfied with my time there. I spent 5 days in Venice and with the B&B's convenient location was able to easily make it to all of the places I wanted to visit with no hastle. It's location in Cannaregio is perfect as the area has less tourists and less expensive places to eat (quality places with out jacked up prices for tourists). From the B&B it is easy to get to anywhere in Venice or even one of the near by Islands (Murano, Burano, Lido, etc). The Vaporetto stop is 5 min by foot and easily accessible (also the boat line runs late into the night and early in the morning). San Marco is only a few stops away, and Cannaregio's central location allows for quick access to many locations (including the train station and piazza roma-where the airport shuttle drops people off). The street the B&B is on has daily fruit venders (where the locals buy food...I would suggest it!) and a pastry shop for breakfast, among restaurants and shops. The rooms in the B&B are nice. The bedrooms are simple but beautiful and the bathroom is beautiful, she also gives access to a living room, kitchen, and terrace all of which are beautiful. The rooms are quiet during the day and at night and it is easy to fall asleep quickly as there is a small airconditioner and the shutters block out any light (only important if you are napping or sleeping in). The rooms are cleaned daily by the owner Anna-Maria who does a great job making her guests feel welcome! She is also a great source of advice for where to eat and visit while in Venice.

I would definatley recommend staying at Le Mansarde during your trip to Venice!

One of the best stays in our trip to Europe.
Very safe place and very clean rooms and bathrooms. The rooms were just remodeled with premium grade materials and good taste. Near to the train station and located in the main street that leads to San Marcos Square so you do not get lost.
Anna-Maria is a great person and very informative. Breakfast was excelent! I will stay there again. I loved everything!!!
After staying in many hotels in Europe, I think this B&B should be in the Top Five B&B in Venice. It was better than what the pictures shows!!!

highly Recommend - perfect for a family - we had the small suite with kitchenette - this enabled us to prep some light meals which helps if you travel on a budget and have picky eaters! Hostess Anna Marie was lovely and extremely helpful.

4 nights in Venice in March - it was cold! So bring warm clothing to Venice in March. It is very close to station and bus staion but diificult to find as there is no prominent B&B sign outside and it was 10.00 in the night! The B&B was a small apartment run by Anna-Maria who was very welcoming but quite stressed with running two jobs, a family and renovating more rooms for b&b. It was a comfortable room with small cooker and shower. Anna - Maria brought us a traditional Italian breakfast every morning which was great. Only problem was twin beds in the loft so romance went out the window as every time you moved you banged your head on the beam! Oh well it didn't matter as it was right on the main street in Cannaregio and everything was on your doorstep including a really good deli and takeaway pizza place. Most of the local population live in this district so it gives you a good flavour of what it must be like to live in Venice.
It's simple and small but right where it's at and very economical for an apartment in Venice - you could even fit in the kids at a squeeze!
