Our family had a spacious, clean hotel apartment with a large living room, large bedroom, two full bathrooms and a kitchenette. Our room overlooked a canal (see picture below) so we enjoyed watching the gondolas below and hearing the gondoliers singing in Italian. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet corner, but it’s just minutes away by foot to Piazzo San Marco and the Rialto Bridge. It was easy to walk to restaurants, cafes, tourist attractions, grocery stores. Since the hotel is on a canal, we were able to book a water taxi to pick us up in front of our hotel and take us to the cruise terminal for the next part of our vacation. The gentlemen working at the front desk, Guido and Mauricio, spoke good English and they made our stay very pleasant.

My family stayed in Suite with canal views and it was fantastic.
Rooms were huge and very well furnished.
The staff were also very friendly.
Location is superb and very close to San Marco and Rialto.
I would definitely recommend staying here if you goto Venice.

We stayed here two nights before catching a flight back to the States and after spending a few weeks at our home in Umbria. Compared to the many hotels we've frequented in Italy, this one by far has the most spacious rooms. Ours -- a "Superior Apartment with Canal View" -- was perfect for a family of four (or even five or six). Our teen children each had their own Queen pullout bed and we parents shared a king. The two bathrooms were adequately sized. And the air conditioning comfortably mitigated the impact of the unfortunate summer heat wave.

The location was ideal. The apartments are very close to St. Mark's Square yet tucked into a quiet corner free from hordes of tourists. Everything you really need to see (including the docks to farther destinations) is within a 5-10 minute walk.

Guido at the Reception Desk was exemplary, both in terms of attentiveness and friendliness, and his restaurant recommendations were perfect for our group.

We will absolutely stay here again should we have the opportunity to fly in or out of Venice. Thank you!

The location is good. The day shift staff were nice. We were disappointed that there was a 50 euro surcharge for using kitchen items, and a 15 euro surcharge for using the washing machine. Those were big selling points for the property, and as far as I can tell the property advertises those features but does not mention surcharges anywhere on the website. It wasn't a huge added price, but disappointing to be nickle-and-dimed. Also, no breakfast provided.

The Residence Corte Grimani is a lovely place to stay. The location is fantastic, the air conditioning robust (it was quite hot during our visit), our room was spacious (even for our family or four), the place is spotless, and the staff is very welcoming and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again if in Venice.

It was nice having a washer/dryer. You need to provide your own laundry detergent, but there’s a nearby market to pick that up.

Upon arriving in Venice, we took the vaporetto from the train station to the Rialto stop and it was less than a 10 minute walk to the hotel. On the way to the airport, we splurged on a water taxi which pulled right up to the hotel to pick us up. The water taxi was a more costly option but was a fun 30-minute ride to the airport that my family really enjoyed, so worth the extra euros.
