We were two adults (not a couple) so we took an apartment with one bedroom and a sofa bed.

I was concerned about what the sofabed would be like but it was big and comfortable and I've been on worse beds! No issue.

We asked for a room with a canal view, and we got it. Beautiful view.

Given that this place is a 5 minute walk to St Marks Sq and Rialto Bridge, has excellent views, has a very friendly and welcoming reception and is all round a lovely place to stay I think its rates are more than fair. In fact, if there is a better deal in this area then I'd be highly surprised.

If you want to stay in this area then book this place if it is available. Save yourself the hassle of investigating other options! And the EUR130 private water taxi from the airport is a splurge but what a way to arrive to the front step via the Grand Canal/Rialto Bridge!

One thing I will say is that I was obsessed with staying in this area thinking we needed to be close to St Marks/Rialto, but you end up doing so much walking anyway in Venice that in hindsight I don't think its that much of an issue to be on the other side of the Grand Canal - we walked around those areas too and they were beautiful as well and possibly a bit more "real" with less tourist trap outlets than the St Mark/Rialto areas.

We spend 2 nights at Corte Grimani. It's located just around the corner from St. Marks Square on a very quiet side street. The rooms are sparkling clean and very spacious. Bathrooms are very modern and clean. We stayed with 2 adults and 2 kids and had ample space. Timeless decor made you feel at home.
The friendly staff helped us with dining recommendations and travel tips.
Both check in and check out were efficient and among the fastest I ever had.
What a great stay!

We were travelling on our honeymoon and had enjoyed Venice and Grimani Corte in 2011 so decided to come back.

On arrival we were warmly greeted by Donatella and shown to our room where a bottle of Prosecco was waiting for us with a congratulations note. Very nice.

The rooms are very spacious with a lounge, kitchen, bathroom (here you'll find a washing machine) and a bedroom. The only criticism is the beds are quite hard and could do with new mattresses, othrerwise everything was fantastic.

The staff are all very friendly, the hotel is a very short walk from Piazza San Maco and Rialto so fantastic location.

We will return if / when next in Venice.

Room Tip: All the rooms seem good - well the two we had were!

This hotel had amazing and relaxing views of the canals. Wonderful and spacious rooms. Our only criticism is that the sofa bed mattresses were NOT comfortable. They need to provide a mattress overlay or upgrade their beds. Otherwise the staff made amazing meal recommendations, suggested a quaint and wonderful store where we can buy wine and we felt very welcomed. It made our Venice experience.

This hotel is great, especially for families. We had a very clean two room apartment, all modern amenities, a kitchen and a washing machine all in our room. They charge extra if you want to use the kitchen for cooking (refrigerator and plates/silverware are available at no charge). Also, if you want to use the washing machine there is a 15 euro surcharge. This being Venice, however, the charges are pretty reasonable and the rooms don't cost an arm and a leg. The staff here is friendly and helpful. Also, the location really cannot be beat. Right in the middle of everything, about 5 minute walk to both San Marco and Rialto. Next time we are in Venice, we are definitely staying here again.

My husband and I stayed Residence Corte Grimani for 3 nights. We loved our experience at this hotel. The apartment had everything we needed. Was spacious, clean, bed extremely comfortable with light duvet/cover (ideal for warm weather), and air con etc. We didn’t buy an additional kitchen facilities that the hotel offers for 50 Euro because for ‘free’ we could use fridge, small kettle, plates, knives, tea cups, spoon etc. What else did we need ;) The hotel doesn't serve breakfasts, however there is a small cake shop near the hotel recommended by the staff of the hotel; Ideal for light breakfast before hitting the sightseeing. The hotel staff were friendly and always helpful. The location couldn’t be better; only a short walk to St Marks and Rialto. Water taxi didn't have any problem to find the hotel (120 Euros for the water taxi). Once you are in Venice and get used to the location, we recommended to take a water bus to the airport instead of water taxi. Much cheaper!!! We were so impressed with this hotel and we totally agree with all good reviews on the TripAdviser.
