This little hotel is located in a quiet area of Venice, very clean and with breakfast in a beautiful garden setting. The shared shower was kept very clean and never a wait to use.

Hotel Boccassini was in a great part of town, short walk to Rialto and San Marco (assuming you don't get lost, which we did constantly), and easy transfer from vaporetto at Fondamente Nove stop. The hotel itself was good, with helpful concierge, cute courtyard, and comfortable rooms and bathrooms. The room itself was a little old, but clean. There wasn't wifi, but there is a computer at the front desk that you're welcome to use. Overall, it was a great location and fantastic for the price. We'll definitely be back and recommend to others.

We arrived in Venice late at night (around 11pm), and the owner waited for us until we arrived at his hotel. After settling the check-in procedures, he gave us a map of Venice and explained to us how to get to the various attractions in fantastic English.

When we woke up the next day, a delightful breakfast awaited us. The coffee smelt great and the selection of bread and accompanying jam and spreads was wonderful. Although the lady who prepared the breakfast couldn't speak in English, she was friendly and we managed to communicate via sign language and some simple words.

The bad part of this hotel is that despite it being located conveniently near a boat stop, it is located down some small alleys, and it is slightly scary walking back at night. Also, the rooms are quite small, and all the guests have to share 2 common toilets, 1 of which has no showering facilities. Lastly, there was no wifi internet connection available.

Nonetheless, the rooms are kept very clean, and the wonderful service of the staff and the owner means that Hotel Casa Boccassini is worth choosing for a stay in Venice!

We searched for a long time to find an affordable place in mainland Venice, since we definitely did not want to deal with the hassle of commuting from Venice Maestro and wanted to see the real Venice at night. It paid off more than we expected at Casa Bocassini. From the very friendly Luca, who wrote directions for us, made reservations, and walked us to show us the way on the first day, to the beautiful garden where we had (a standard continental) breakfast every day, we loved it. We went the first week of September and the lack of air conditioning was no problem at all. The rooms were impeccably clean. We could hear a little bit of the street noise outside, but it wasn't a big problem, though it might be for light sleepers. About the only annoyance were the bed arrangements, which were two twin beds pushed together making a small gap.

Still, we LOVED casa bocassini (and the charming non-touristy restaurant nearby where there were no menus and the owner tells you what to eat!).

I was forced to go there cause all the other places were fully booked. but i must admit that at the same price you can get cosy intimate hotels instead of this awful place..
if you go to the website, seems to be quite ok but then, when you go there...you get really disappointed..
You enter into a very nice garden with lanterns and a fountain and from there you get into the reception. the reception has been renovated same as the breakfast room, so at first sight it's new and clean.. the surprise comes when you get to your room. First, you share the bathroom with all the other guests on the same floor. So quite often you wait for other guests to get out from the toilet, waiting for your turn..The toilet was dirty and messy cause one of the previous guests took a shower and all the bathroom was flooded..
In case, there is also a tiny second toilet, only with the wc..for urgent needs..
I got a single room..it has the basics: bed, washbasin, drawer..
The hotel was probably a former house so the walls are thin and you can hear all the noises, voices, music and other sounds coming from other rooms..
the atmosphere is very italy of the '50s with old furnitures, old floorings and absolute lack of taste.. If you have chance pick for another hotel..Venice is so beautiful and romantic that you deserve a more traditional cosy and nice place to stay..

The hotel is in a great location, near everything you need but in a nice quiet location.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
The rooms are clean and reasonably well furnished, would benefit from air conditioning though.
In conclusion great value for money, and would definitely recommend

This hotel is old Europe.....4, maybe 500 years old our gentle and genteel host ( and owner) told us. Really nice courtyard, rooms, bathrooms,etc....clean, classy, easy to get to and find ( a great help in Venice) and all around a good and fair value. Luca is really patient and again, quite helpful ( useful in a place that can be a bit daunting)
