We stayed at this lovely boutique hotel just this September and were pleasantly surprised at this charming hotel. It is located right on the Grand Canal and is easily accessed from either the airport or train station and is just a short walk from the Piazza San Marco. Our standard double room was comfortable but we did find the bathroom was a bit small but very modern. The only criticizm of the facilities was the bathtub is rather high and somewhat awkward getting in and out. Our view was of the courtyard behind the hotel and provided a quiet atmosphere. Breakfast each morning was adequate with a selection of meats, fruits and rolls, coffee and juice. The staff was most helpful giving us excellent directions on how to get to places of interest and where to eat. If you are looking for a clean, convenient place to stay close to all the attractions in Venice, then you will be pleaed with A Tribute To Music.

Room Tip: Courtyard room was quite.

I stayed if Venice for 3 nights and this hotel was absolutely perfect. It wasn't on the canal but it had a laggon view that was perfection. The front desk area is a little small but the rooms were clean and spacious. The price I thought was very reasonable and we were close to San Marco Square but far enough away that I didn't find it too loud to sleep or nap. This hotel I would stay at again without a doubt.

We stayed one night at this charming hotel, while exploring Venice. We felt just like being at someone's home, sleeping in the guest room. Full of personality and lovely vintage details (including bathroom fittings), this house is right on the waterfront and minutes from Piazza San Marco. Many restaurants and shops around, still far enough from the crowded and noisy areas so you can get a good sleep. Very clean and with all the modern facilities. The stuff was helpful and nice. Very comfortable stay, and so much more interesting than a regular hotel. If you book in advance, I guess you could get a good price for the fabulous room facing the Great Lagoon and the neraby islands.

My partner and I traveled to Venice specifically for the 2011 Venice Biennale, and for those of you considering doing the same the hotel is in perfect proximity to both Arsenale and Giardini areas - a lovely walk to both main areas that will also take you past many of the installations that pop up in smaller buildings (if you can hunt down Chiharu Shiota's installation at Gervasuti Foundation).
The room we stayed in on the second floor was full of charm with a very large and immaculately clean bathroom. It was also exceptionally quiet despite having windows that faced onto the Grand Canal and being opposite the breakfast room.
Staff were exceptional, from the delightful front desk staff that had great recommendations for a 'non touristy' dinner (very necessary when in Venice...), to the warm and friendly woman who served us in the breakfast room.We were traveling for a number of months throughout Europe for work and pleasure and I have to say that the staff at A Tribute to Music were some of the best we've come across anywhere.
I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and would like to thank the staff for providing such a wonderful experience.
We'll be back for the next Biennale!

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in July and could not have been happier. The young women at the reception desk were so friendly and welcoming. On our way up to our room, we were told "we have a surprise for you." I was thinking a bottle of wine perhaps? They had upgraded us from a double room lagoon view, to the apartment on the top floor where we had our own little balcony from which we could watch the world go by while enjoying a glass of prosecco. Even without the upgrade, we would have had the breathtaking view of the lagoon, just a few minutes walk from St Mark's. The hotel is in a great position, is comfortable, the staff are lovely, as well as offer a good breakfast.

Our family stayed in a family room for four facing the canal last week (#203). The view was splendid and the room, while not a Ritz Carlton, was everything we needed. The beds we all comfortable and everytging was very clean. Service was terrific. The folks on the front desk were more than helpful. The ladies who managed the breakfast rooms were great! The hotel is clean, friendly and fun - and surely the best value to be found in Venice. We highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Ask for Canal view!
