The apartment was perfect for us. Its very large and nicely finished in a quiet part of town but its only a 5 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge. There's no view, but it's good value for money. The owner met us at the waterbus stop and guided us to the apartment, which would be a bit tricky alone. He gave us cake and Prosecco, showed us round the apartment, gave advice on where to eat and shop and then gave us a guided walk to the bridge and back. Very friendly and useful

Guido was very warm, helping with our luggage after meeting us at the Alilaguna station. He stayed extra late to accommodate our arrival and had the apartment wonderfully prepared. The photos do not show how nice the apartment is in person. The location is great for the main parts of Venice and not too far to walk to the south toward Dorsoduro.

A perfect apartment tucked down a quiet side alley in the heart of Venice. Really well equipped flat - microwave, 4 gas hob, toaster, all the knives were sharp (often a problem in rented flats!), dish washer, washing machine, large TV, DVD player etc. Tastefully decorated with Ikea shelving and cupboards, and clean throughout. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly all the time we were there.

Guido was perfect host - he met us from the vaporetto stop, showed us around the flat and then took the time to show us the immediate area to give us our bearings and tell us about shops, restaurants of interest - this was invaluable and really appreciated - as was the wine and cake he greeted us with!

It might be of interest for those with special dietary requirements that an incredibly well stocked health food shop is about 50m away from the flat and easy to find, with vegan, gluten-free, organic products - as good if not better as any that you will find in your home town.

People travelling with friends might also note that Guido also has a flat immediately next door, on the same floor - ideal for couples travelling together who might want to have privacy at the same time as travelling with friends.

I would not hesitate in recommending this to friends & when I return to Venice I would definitely use this flat again.

This is a wonderful apartment close to everything Venice has to offer and Guido was a wonderful host, meeting us at 1am in the morning! There was prosecco and almond cake waiting for us in the apartment (delicious!) and Guido was great in showing us around the apartment and having a map ready to go. The apartment is exactly as pictured in the photos and is fresh and accommodating. The bed is very comfortable too. There are some wonderful restaurants nearby including La Zucca and Bacarretto but be sure to book (we recommend Bacarretto). Rialto bridge is a short walk away as it's easy to walk to San Marks square too. In fact, we walked everywhere. All in all, this is a central and spacious apartment, close to San Stae waterbus stop, and away from the touristy areas which is hard to find in Venice!

I gave this apartment 4 stars because of the exceptional customer service that the owner Guido provided. The apartment was clean and in good working condition with exception to the microwave which was not working properly. I was given a special cake and some exceptional sparkling wine to drink upon my arrival, which helped me to relax after a long journey. I was helped with my luggage and given a tour around the immediate vicinity which help me tremendously to relax with the surroundings. There are a few stairs to climb with luggage to get to this apartment from San Stae port, but it's well worth it once you get there. The building is secure and I felt quite safe in the area, even at night. I loved the fact that there are a lot of mirrors in this apartment and that there were many windows. Thank you Guido for all of your help!

There was always excellent communication between Guido and ourselves when planning our 5 day stay in Venice. Responses to questions and requests could not have been faster. Guido clearly explained the best way to get from airport to meeting place at San Stae and was there with a very warm welcome. He then escorted us the short distance to the lovely apartment on Calle dell Rosa, pointing out landmarks along the way. The greeting continued with a welcome of chilled prose co and an almond torte ! The apartment was perfect ....everything we could need. Beds comfortable, bathroom modern, water hot, good security, kitchen well-equipped. Guido then took us on a short orientation walk to point out local markets, Rialto Bridge, grocery stores etc ...just what we needed. He was a friendly helpful and charming host. We would go back there any time !
