“Friendly staff, clean rooms”
Reviewed June 14, 2014

We spent one night here with my husband. We went to Venice with train, arriving early in the morning. I wrote them a letter asking for the room on top with a terrace and whether we can place our baggage until the check in, they replied immediately, yes we can do and promised the room for us. On our arrival (8 o' clock in the morning) they gave us the room we wanted. After checking out we could leave our bags at the reception unitil the evening.
The room was clean and nice. The bathroom was brand new. Inspite the breakfast was incredibly poor I would suggest to anyone to stay here.

We stayed for a weekend. Do not expect it to be a trendy hipster hangout, it is everything but that. This place really gives good value for money; you get what you pay for. No frills ... at all ... but a dry place to rest your head for EUR 165/night (in May 2014). We stayed on the same floor as the reception and breakfast room are, it might be better to stay on a higher level, room was a bit dark. But then, I would not want to spend too much time in it anyway. Staff is very friendly. I tried Wi-Fi, it did not work.

The location was great, right by Rialto bridge. The room and bathroom were okay. But even for a continental breakfast this was a first for me. Everything was packaged. A few pieces of fruit one day and the next none. No eggs or anything thing else you could enjoy besides the yoghurt. We all actually bought bread and cheese etc. Never had to do this before.

We were so pleased to be accommodated here after being locked out of Residenza Ca Dario. The manger went to the trouble of making up beds for us at a very late hour. The rooms had a lovely view were quiet and very comfortable. Lovely staff and the restaurant is superb too. Best lasagne of my life

Room Tip: With a canal view and en suite

When I arrived they advised me I was upgraded to a canal view suite. The room was beautiful and felt very Venetian. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was great being close to the Rialto. When I go back to Venice I would stay there again.

This place was recommended by a friend who stayed here before. We are from australia. Stayed for 2 nights with hubby, mum and grandmother. Stairs were a bit much for the oldies but they managed (we carried their luggage up the multiple flights of stairs). It's a small residence but exactly what we were seeking (something authentic; didn't want another big name hotel chain). Glad we stayed here. Hubby and I booked the top floor room which has exclusive access to the rooftop terrace (has really good view). It's a little tight getting up to the roof by the way... Rooms were small but comfortable and clean! Brekky simple but enjoyable. The best thing about this place is definitely the location! Right near the Rialto! Location is important for us. Agree with other reviews advising on eating down little alleys etc; the meal we had on the 'waterfront' just down from Rialto was terrible. Extremely salty. Gelato and hot choccies in San Marco Sq however were fantastic! We had a great experience with the gondola ride. Shopping and walking around is fun; even with all the bridges and steps! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Oh, and wifi is avail on the steps outside the top floor room; we couldn't get it in the room. Service from the reception was also very helpful. I would stay here again.

The hotel is very very close to Rialto bridge so if you ever get lost just follow the signs to Rialto or ask any one. Rooms are average but clean and there is a fridge in a room. There is no elevator in the building so be prepared to take your luggage up 3 to 4 floors.

Take a water taxi 2 from the train station to Rialto. Staff are friendly and nice. They will send you the direction to the hotel if you provide them an email address. If you are checking after 7:00 PM, it's important you contact them ahead of time because you will be using another location for entry and registration!!!!
Overpriced in high season so visit in winter if you can.

Room Tip: Well there are no elevators in the building so you have to walk two floors just to get to registrati...
